Bugs Are Finally Giving Up, Helldivers 2 Players Will Liberate Pandion-XXIV

The view from the ship in Helldivers 2.

The latest Major Order has proven that even with all the buffs the game could still be challenging. The players were doing just fine but they got stuck on one planet, not being able to progress, no matter how many divers joined. Well, it seems the Helldivers 2 community will after all liberate Pandion-XXIV. Are the bugs getting tired, or did Joel help out?

Helldivers Are Finally Making Progress on Pandion-XXIV

At the time of writing this article, the Helldivers managed to make up for the difference and are at a stalemate with their enemies. Hopefully, that will change. The players have just enough time until the end of the Major Order to free a couple of planets and take the victory.

Pandion-XXIV will most likely be one of those planets. Now, if you’ve fought on Pandion-XXIV the first couple of days, you might have noticed how frustrating it was, since no matter how many divers were valiantly fighting, there was no liberation progress.

Third-party sites and apps showed that the “decay rate” was 3% on Pandion-XXIV, which is way too high for any progress to be made. Over the weekend, the “decay rate” first dropped to 2%. and then further down to 1,5%. That final change allowed the players to finally make some progress against the bugs.

Players Stay United in Plea For “Decay Rates” Being Shown on Map

As you may have expected, even though the sudden progress was more than welcome, the Helldivers 2 players pointed out how they would have never wasted valuable time on trying to liberate Pandion-XXIV if they knew the “decay rates”.

Automotivematt noted: “This is why decay rates need to be shown on the galaxy map. The only way I know about the rates is through a companion app. Most people probably don’t even realize they are fighting a losing battle”.

Another devoted player, EndyCore, added: “It’s baffling to me that these percentages are not shown in the game. Life would have been much easier”. Many players agreed with these comments. Some veterans even admitted they were unaware of this entire system, as it wasn’t displayed.

No one wants the numbers in-game, but rather some signal that would allow the players to know where to fight. Ambiguous_Duck suggested: “I feel like the explicit percentage would be a tad immersion-breaking. But, a similar mechanic that simply denotes “Heavy Enemy Fortification/Support” would be phenomenal”.

We agree that having some sort of indicator would help Helldivers be more efficient, especially in situations like this. Of course, it’s up to devs to decide if and how they’ll implement this idea. With all the positive changes recently, we’re sure they’ll deliver. For Liberty and Super Earth.
