Oops, they did it again! SONY has reportedly once again accidentally leaked some Helldivers 2 content, this time a trailer. The trailer was quickly removed, but some lucky players had a chance to see it beforehand. Don’t worry, you can see the copy below.
SONY Leaked a Never-Before-Seen Trailer
Many players hoped that SONY had leaked the trailer for the next Warbond or the Singularity Party. Unfortunately, it didn’t. It seems that this is some kind of promotional trailer, but it’s uncertain what for. It is visually stunning, though.
Thankfully, some players managed to get the video before it was taken down, so you can judge for yourself. Financial-Customer24 recorded the trailer on their phone and shared it on Reddit.
In the video, a very democratic voice asks Helldivers if they were there for some of the most epic battles, like the Creek, Meridia, and Calypso. The narrator raised FOMO to the max and then invited players to join the fight for freedom. They concluded: “All we need is you… Be there”.
The Helldivers 2 Community Suggests What the Trailer Is For
Obviously, the Helldivers 2 players have been antsy for some new content, and the leaked trailer was just what they needed. Since the trailer is mostly just propaganda, the community naturally started suggesting what it was for.
Some players hoped it was an announcement that Helldivers 2 would finally be coming to Xbox. One player, greatnailsageyoda, noted: “Besides just an addition trailer, it could be for Xbox recruits? (Yes, I’m on hopium and copium, how did you know?)”.
Other players wondered if the trailer was meant to announce a sale. Liqhthouse stated: “Can’t think of any reason for this video’s creation yet… Perhaps it’s meant to accompany a sale and get people to buy the game. Other than that there’s no new content shown in this vid to suggest anything else”.
Still, the majority of players just loved the trailer for itself. Hundreds of players wrote “I was there”. One player, riesenarethebest, said: “Just the right amount of propaganda, enemy deaths, and team kills. It’s perfect”.
Whatever it was meant for, this trailer brought joy to the community. Some players were suspicious that it was leaked exactly on the anniversary of their victory over SONY, but, honestly, that’s probably just a coincidence.
