Not even 12 hours after it became operational, the Democracy Space Station is under a huge threat. While many players are still exploring all the features that it has to offer, the Automatons have made their move and started invading Gaellivare. Helldivers 2 players Galaxy-wide are flocking to defend the DSS from the attack those pesky bots launched.
The Automatons Launched an Attack on the Democracy Space Station
Mere hours after the DSS was launched it’s in the greatest danger as of yet. As you know the Jet Brigade has been making its way toward Gaellivare since the beginning of the current Major Order. First, the players lost the Tarsh defense, and then Mastia fell. The Helldivers 2 players knew the attack on the DSS was imminent, but hoped for some more time.
On November 14, a grim alert startled many Helldivers. It noted: “DSS under attack. The Automaton Jet Brigade has made landing on Gaellivare. SEAF units are besieged at multiple points across the planet. If the planet falls while the DSS is in its orbit, the station will be in extreme danger”.
Helldivers Have to Unite to Save the DSS
The attack on the DSS made quite a splash in the Helldivers 2 community. The problem is that the players can’t agree on how to approach the defense. At the time of writing this article, there are two possible options.
First, the players can fight on Gaellivare and, hopefully, manage to defend the planet in the next 48 hours. The second choice might be riskier, but possibly more thought-out, some players suggested going for the gambit planet, Mastia. Since the attack is coming from Mastia, liberating it would also stop the attack on Gaellivare.
In addition, if you’ve explored the DSS, you probably had a chance to vote on its next location, which will, most probably, be Mastia. So, in 14 hours or so, the DSS will move to Mastia and execute all the funded actions. But, the question remains: is it worth the risk?
Unfortunately, as of the time of writing this article, Helldivers don’t think the gambit is worth the risk. According to a third-party app, DiversHub, around 14k divers are on Gaellivare, while only 3k players are on Mastia. So, it seems that the lack of data on the Galactic map has once again led the divers to a harder solution.
As for where you should fight, we’d suggest you go wherever you see the most players are. Sure, it won’t be the gambit planet, but only huge numbers will get the divers a planet back. So, let’s meet on Gaellivare, bring your Purifier. For Liberty and Super Earth, for the Democracy Space Station.
