Helldivers are back in business! As you may have noticed, the Second Galactic War was paused in the middle of a Major Order while the developers fixed a backend error. However, this pause obviously didn’t stop other things from happening. Some Helldivers 2 players noticed that the wormhole moved back, and even the MO was cancelled. Well, the War has just continued, and the Helldivers are doing surprisingly well.
What Happened With the MO in Helldivers 2?
You’ve probably noticed that the game has been experiencing some issues in the last couple of weeks. This wasn’t the first time the devs had to pause the Galactic War. On February 28, there was a “ceasefire“. Days later, the devs explained that the Squids were behind this stunt, and that it was all a hallucination.
Maybe the Squids were also behind this latest issue? Though, they might have gone too far this time. Many Helldivers 2 players were quite concerned when they saw that the Major Order had been cancelled.
Another quite curious thing happened. The Meridian Singularity was “pushed” all the way back, behind what was left of Angel’s Venture. Rumors spread like wildfire in the Helldivers 2 community. If the Squids were behind this, why on Super Earth would they move their precious Meridian Singularity all the way back?
The Cancelled MO Continues With a Boost and the Singularity Retakes Its Position
Glorious news arrived on March 10! The previously cancelled MO has just continued, and the Helldivers 2 developers even gave the players a little boost. Unfortunately, the Meridian Singularity also regained its position on the Galactic Map.
Now, what do we mean when we say a little boost? Well, let’s see what changed, side by side. In the picture below, you can see the stats right before the MO was “cancelled” (left), and immediately after it continued (right).
Before the “cancelation”, the players killed 18,5% of the bots needed (including 40,7% of Shredder Tanks). They were also around 28,7% done with the bugs (including 41% of Bile Titans). They had 3 days and 9 hours left to finish the MO.
However, once the MO continued, the numbers were doubled! The players are currently 36,3% done with the bots (80,9% with the Shredder Tanks), and at 56,9% on the bug front (81,7% done with the Bile Titans). As for the time left? Well, according to the in-game info, this MO ends in 3 days and 8 hours. It seems the devs stopped the timer, but still counted the kills.
Another big change happened – the Meridian Singularity is no longer “behind” Angel’s Venture. Some players claim it’s even closer to Moradesh now, but we aren’t entirely sure that’s true. What do you think?
Well, one thing is for sure, Helldivers don’t get opportunities such as this one very often. With more than three days left, we can actually complete this MO, maybe even with some time to spare. So, dear Helldiver, join us, as soon as you can. We’ll be diving on Bore Rock. For Liberty and Super Earth.
