With the lack of new content, the players can only find solace in the leaks. Thankfully, there have been plenty. Most recently, Helldivers 2 players got to see some leaked voice lines about a Wildlife faction. Given that the majority of Helldivers already consider the Illuminate as the third faction, what on Super Earth is the Wildlife faction?
Leaks Suggest Helldivers 2 Will Have Some Wildlife
One of the most prolific leakers, IronS1ghts, struck again! This time, they shared what they discovered about the possible fourth faction in Helldivers 2 files. It seems there might be a lot more than the Illuminate coming.
The leaker noted: “(Leak) Wildlife “Faction”. Ambient Fauna that may spawn on certain planets. FactionType_Wildlife. There are multiple voice lines for it: Local Fauna Identified, possible source for emergency rations. Alien wildlife found. Assessment: adorable. Alien Wildlife Found. Dangerous Wildlife”.
The leaker added: “Yeah, it seems a lot of stuff is getting placed on the back burner right now. While most of this isn’t exactly cut from development just yet, it is definitely very low priority”. In other words, although there is a possibility of encountering Wildlife, don’t hold your breath. Especially knowing that the devs have trouble putting two enemy factions on the same planet.
Helldivers Would Love to Hear the Leaked Voice Lines
Still, Helldivers 2 players were thrilled by these leaked Wildlife voice lines. The players are quite starved for content, so their reactions aren’t really that surprising. However, many of the players were quite cautious, since there had been so many leaks recently, and still no update.
TheBest1972 noted: “Hmmm this one seems like a “WIP” type. I can see this coming after the Illuminates and perhaps the Gloom storyline since when you leaked about that stuff it looked like it was “readier” than this one”.
Locob recalled: “I do remember people proposing this on Reddit. But it was a minority. They really go to Reddit to read comments on posts. Or they had it planned. “Discover exotic life forms”, says a trailer. Seems it will not be just the enemies”.
Now, having any type of wildlife would be amazing, in our opinion. Maybe the devs could create hostile and non-hostile species, so some forms would just chill, while others would actually attack the Helldivers. Still, there’s a long way to go before get anything similar. Until then, a Major Order is in progress, and it’s a big one, so, join us. For Liberty and Super Earth.
