Real-life elections can be quite draining and can incite a lot of stirred-up feelings. Who would’ve guessed that the in-game elections could be just as divisive? Well, some leaks suggest that the presidential election in Helldivers 2 might be quite suspenseful.
Helldivers 2 Might Get a Presidential Election
One very devoted and fruitful leaker, IronS1ghts, shared their latest discoveries with the Helldivers 2 community. They shared a short video and wrote: “(Leak) Presidential Elections. All info on presidential candidates”. The video showcased three candidates and a message for players. It stated: “Decisions will be made today! Do your duty, vote for your leader of choice”.
Also, the OP shared the players might get some rewards from the new president. This leaker said: “They grant a unique weapon/stratagem for all players to use. The stratagems will not take up a slot”. As for the voting process, well, we live in a Managed Democracy, so everything goes. There’s no way the election will be rigged, for sure.
Of course, this devoted leaker included everything they found about the potential candidates. First of all, the choice will be between three candidates. Their names are Winston Richman Jr. Sr, Gun Ingbrit Morgunsdottir, and Daiyu Hatchet.
Meet the Presidential Candidates
Let’s start with Winston Richman Jr. Sr. According to leaks, he is a part of the Justice Party. Probably sponsored by the “Ulterior” Corporation. His main focus is medical policies. Each candidate has three tiers of slogans. The OP noted: “Tier 1: Justice for all cannot exist without the “all”. Tier 2: By focusing on medical advancement, you can get more “you” out of you. Tier 3: Super Earth can defeat any foe, so long as its citizens are dedicated to the cause. Your vote, our protection”
The second candidate, Gun Ingbrit Morgunsdottir, is sponsored by the “Strohmann” Corporation. She belongs to the Freedom Party and focuses on the right to bear arms. Her slogans are: “Tier 1: As long as the alien menace thrives, we can never be truly free. Tier 2: A gun in every hand means a soldier in every home. Tier 3: There exists nothing in this galaxy more powerful than a well-armed citizen of Super of Earth”.
Finally, last, but certainly not least, we have Daiyu Hatchet of the Prosperity Party. She is sponsored by the “Permacure” Corporation. Her focus is on the expanse (and wealth) of Super Earth. As for her slogans, they state: “Tier 1: When we expand, we earn. When we earn, we expand. Tier 2: In knowledge lies power. In power lies prosperity. In prosperity lies freedom. Tier 3: Prosperity means better weapons, better medicine, better Democracy”.
Although the choice is hard, as of the time of writing this article, based on the likes each of the candidates received, Gun Ingbrit Morgunsdottir holds the clear lead. However, not even leaks know when we’ll actually have the presidential election in Helldivers 2. So, a lot could change in the meantime.
