The Helldivers 2 devs added quite a lot of fresh content in the past several weeks, the Illuminate, the new Warbond, the vehicle Stratagem, the Killzone collab, and more. However, the players can never get tired of exciting new content. So, when a video of leaked Missile Silo Stratagem made the rounds on the internet, Helldivers 2 players were quite smitten with it.
A Look at the Missile Silo Stratagem
A well-known Helldivers 2 leaker, IronS1ghts, shared a link to a YouTube video of the Missile Silo Stratagem gameplay. John Helldiver, the YouTube account that shared the video, noted: “Gameplay of the leaked Missile Silo Stratagem. Not the best in terms of functionality, but it is fun lol”.
The video reveals that the MS-220 Missile Silo will probably be Hellpod-sized. It’s meant for long-range destruction. As such, it will require a remote for selecting the target and initiating the launch. According to the OP, the remote will take up a support weapon slot.
Let’s go over the stats. The call-in time should be 7,75 seconds, and you’ll get unlimited uses. However, the cooldown time is 203 seconds, which isn’t all that bad but could be a tad shorter. Support weapon and Hellpod were listed as Item Traits. Now, keep in mind that none of this is official information, so, the final product might be a bit different.
As for the gameplay, well, you call down the Stratagem, pick up the Mini-Missile Target Designator (the remote), select your target, and launch the Missile. It might seem like a lot of unnecessary steps, but it plays out nicely. Also, the hits were quite precise in the video, so this Stratagem could come in handy.
Helldivers 2 Players Mostly Love the Leaked Stratagem
Helldivers 2 players mostly loved the video of the gameplay of the leaked Missile Silo Stratagem. Many described it as “dope as hell”, accurately, in our opinion, However, some players questioned the logic behind all of the steps.
One player, xmst5, noted: “So, they shoot down a pod with a missile in it from a ship, in order for that missile to then be fired from the planet. Wouldn’t it make more sense if you dropped in with the laser designator while the missile is fired from the ship without the pod?”.
Still, the majority of players loved that this Stratagem was kind of interactive. Others already daydreamed about possible builds. One X user, icemanchong, suggested: “Will be fun with jetpack sniper build. Clear out entire encampments from a cozy distance with less effort and from farther away, with next to no detection”.
Since the gameplay looks almost polished, we hope that the devs will release this Stratagem soon. With everything happening with the black hole, some new Illuminate units are bound to show up any day now, and the players will need all the support they can get.
