The most recent update won over almost all devoted Helldivers, including many returning players. While overpowered grenades, weapons, and secret buffs were more than welcome, the players decided to use the momentum and point out some other problems in the game. Several players reported experiencing a game-breaking issue in Helldivers 2 over the last couple of days.
Helldivers Face an Annoying Issue
The problem in question is the Breaker Drill in the Nuke Nursery Chamber mission. Sometimes, if you are unlucky, it will lose functionality for some reason and you won’t be able to finish the mission. Now, even though this problem has persisted for a while, it seems that it has recently happened more frequently.
TaticalSweater shared their unfortunate experience. This player was playing the Nuke Nursery mission on level 10. When the time came, their team couldn’t access the Terminal, as the Drill was blocked by the ground. They recalled: “My team tried nuking it with 500kg, precision strikes, grenades, Orbital Napalm, and nothing would work. In the end, everyone quit the mission”.
If you haven’t encountered this problem, the OP provided a picture of the Drill. As you may see, the Drill was inaccessible, making the entire mission a bust and leaving the devoted Helldivers frustrated and overwhelmed.
Helldivers 2 Players Are Tired of the Game-Breaking Glitch
Dozens of players confirmed they experienced a similar problem recently. Some reported the Breaker Drill was accessible but still unresponsive. Some even reported the Drill being mid-air.
One player, mihesq, noted: “Happened to me last night for the first time. What a shame as it was the last one we had to do as well. Though ours was on a flat level ground and not as obscured as yours. We tried everything to access it to no avail.”
Helpful players shared what could sometimes help, depending on your luck. T3hJ3hu suggested: “Blowing it up. Adding each other as friends, quitting, and rejoining. Closing the game entirely and rejoining. Getting a 4th player to join with an SOS beacon”. Some players claimed that trying these tips might help in some cases.
It’s worth noting that this game-breaking issue has been around for a while and is actually on Helldivers 2 developers’ list of known issues. We’re sure they’re working on fixing this annoying problem. If anything, the latest update showed how devoted the devs were to their game.
