Frostpunk 2 All Editions
Frostpunk 2 is currently available for purchase in pre-order as we near the release date. At this time, the game comes only in digital formats with Standard and Deluxe Editions. Below you will find the detailed explanation for both Editions of the game.
- POST-APOCALYPTIC SURVIVAL GAME: In Frostpunk, players will take on the role of leaders of a small colony of survivors in a post-apocalyptic world that was hit by a severe ice age. Their duty is to effectively manage both its infrastructure and citizens.
- STRATEGY BOARD GAME: Make the Laws, send out expeditions to uncover the fate of humanity in the frozen wastes, face the consequences of your actions in front of those you swore to protect.
- MULTIPLE PATHS TO VICTORY: The players will decide the fate of their people. Will you treat them like another resource? Are you going to be an inspiring builder, a fearless explorer, or a bright scientist? Is your rule going to be a sting of tyranny or an era of law and equality?
- HIGHLY VARIABLE: The core gameplay is brutal, challenging, and complex, but easy to learn. The citizens won’t just be speechless pieces on the board. Society members will issue demands and react accordingly to the current mood, so every decision and action bears consequences.
- THIS IS AN EXPANSION TO FROST PUNK THE BOARD GAME. This is not a standalone game. You will need the Frost Punk Base Game in order to play with this expansion.
Frostpunk 2 Standard Edition
The Standard Edition of Frostpunk 2 costs $44.99. This will only purchase you the base game, and it doesn’t include any additional goodies besides that.
Frostpunk 2 Deluxe Edition
The Deluxe Edition of Frostpunk 2 costs $74.99. Along with the base game, this Edition comes with additional in-game content, digital art, a novella, and more. The following list represents everything that you get for purchasing the Deluxe Edition:

Frostpunk 2 Pre-order bonus
Unfortunately, Frostpunk 2 does not offer any of the usual pre-order bonuses. With that said, currently Steam is having a Pre-order discount for the game of 10% which will last until July 25. This means that if you purchase the Deluxe Edition of the game before its release, you will only pay $67.49. This is a great offer and if you are having a dilemma about which Edition to purchase this can sway the decision.
