Wondering how to craft a stone forge in Fae Farm? No problem. We’ve outlined everything you’ll need to make the item in Phoenix Labs’ new farm sim RPG.
Released on September 8, Fae Farm is an enchanting new farming and life sim that features just as many genre staples as it does dungeon-crawling elements. In the new title, you can befriend and romance Azoria’s NPCs, craft useful items and potions, and mine for crafting ingredients like iron ore and copper ore in the game’s various mines. That said, curating your homestead is made much easier with the convenient use of specific tools, like the Stone Forge. With this construction item, you can smelt the ore you’ve collected. The catch: you’ll first need to craft the item. Here’s what you’ll need to get the job done.
How to Craft a Stone Forge in Fae Farm
Crafting a Stone Forge for yourself is simple with the right materials and tools. The crafting recipe calls for 25 stones and 10 coal. With the essential materials, you can then craft the item in the yard of your homestead. To do this:
- Open the crafting menu by pressing the Down button on your Nintendo Switch or by opening the Outdoor Construction option on PC.
- Press the Down button again on Switch or open your Build Catalog on PC.
- Head over to the Crafting tab with the R buttons.
- Scroll down to the Stone Forge and select the item.
- Position the item to your liking.
Once in place, you can get to smelting all kinds of metal ingots, bricks, and glass from the various ore you’ve collected in the mines. You’ll need a copper ingot and stone bricks to craft a Lumber Station later on, so it’s handy to have your Stone Forge at the ready.
- Two Joy Con can be used independently in each hand, or together as 1 game controller when attached to the Joy Con grip
- They can also attach to the main console for use in handheld mode, or be shared with friends to enjoy 2 player action in supported games
- Each Joy Con has a full set of buttons and can act as a standalone controller, and each includes an accelerometer and gyro sensor, making independent left and right motion control possible
How to Collect Stone
Stone is one of the easiest resources to collect in Fae Farm. This can be accomplished by using your pickax to pocket any small rock in the yard of your homestead, but you’ll also find stone in the Saltwater Mines.
The pickax tool is an automatic select for mining stone, so you’ll just need to interact with the stone materials found in your yard by pressing A on Nintendo Switch or interact on PC. Collect 25 to get started on your Stone Forge. Also note that the pickax is not to be confused with your axe, which is used to chop down trees and collect various lumber types, like beech lumber or the flutterwood log from the Elven Village.
How to Collect Coals
Coal can be collected in the Saltwater Mines. If you’re not sure how to reach this location, open your map by pressing the Minus button (–) on Nintendo Switch or selecting the map on PC. From your map, select the Saltwater Mines to activate a tracker to follow to your destination.
Once you’ve made your way to the mine, look for black lumps of coal scattered throughout the landscape of the first floor. To mine the resource, simply interact with it by pressing the A button on Switch or interact on PC. You’ll only need 10 coal to craft your Stone Forge. However, collecting as much coal as you can is a good idea.
With enough resources on hand, you’ll be able to craft everything you’ll need for a fruitful like on the farm.
