As a general rule, the items you craft are worth much more than the raw materials and ingredients that you can forage and mine. Of course, there are a few exceptions to this rule. However, you’ll want to collect as many rough gemstones from dungeons and throughout Azoria to craft more valuable polished gems and sell them at the Town Market.
How to Craft Polished Gems in Fae Farm
Polished gems can earn you a solid amount of cash. You’ll want to craft as many as you can with your Gem Polisher. Once finished, polished gems sell for hundreds of Florins, providing a hefty incentive to explore the game’s dungeons. You’ll just need to collect at least 10 rough gemstones, which are mined with your pickaxe or received as loot from defeating Jumbles in dungeons.
Rough gemstones will appear from level five and on inside dungeons. Placing a seal will allow you to fast travel between the dungeon’s levels and check the exact Resource Chances on a given floor. You’ll also be able to fast travel back to your homestead to drop off your materials at your Gem Polisher. You can head back to the mine in the meantime to continue mining gems.
To make this task a bit easier, I recommend building a Seal Crafting Station before you set out. This will allow you to make enough seals to unlock and explore several dungeon levels in one trip. Just remember you’ll need a specific type of seal, like a Citrine Seal or Peridot Seal, to get the job done. Aim to reach floor 25 as soon as possible to get your hands on the most valuable gemstones.

Because of this, I recommend collecting as many resources as possible on your first day, as you won’t lose any stamina during that period of time. Here are some things you can do to earn a bit of cash in the early game.
- Harvest and cook Huckleberries. You’ll find these beautiful red bushels throughout the landscape of Azoria from the start of the game. Pocket as many berries as you can, then char them at your cooking fire. This will increase their value when put to market.
- Fish and Forage. In the same vein, you can get to fishing and foraging fairly early in the game. You can sell the materials you’ve collected, from fish to wool and eggs. Just bear in mind that not all resources gain value once they’re cooked. For example, some fish will net you more Florins fresh out of the water.
- Clear local trees. Ordinarily, chopping lumber with your axe will cost some serious stamina. However, you’ll have the energy to clear your yard and then some on your first day in the game. This will help you gather beech logs and other lumber types, which can then be used to build various Crafting Stations. In the long run, these stations will prove essential to earn money.
- Mine stone and coal. Both stone and coal can be collected from early on in the game with your pickaxe. You’ll find these resources in your yard and at the Saltwater Mines. The raw materials can then be used to build yourself a Stone Forge. This station is used for smelting ingots, which are some of the most valuable goods in the game.
- Craft stations. While you can pocket a good bit of cash from selling your raw materials and resources, you’ll make even more money in the long run if you use them to build Crafting Stations.
