Are you trying to find out does Diablo 4 have a New Game Plus system, like some other games? Read our article to find out.

Diablo 4 is one of those gaming experiences that never truly ends. Players are incentivized to either try out all the classes or run through the game again in search of better loot. Many other games achieve this through New Game Plus, where players play through the game again but with stronger enemies and higher rewards.

Diablo 3 did this by having five different difficulty levels, with the last having 10 sub-levels. Each mode was unlocked upon completion of the game on the previous difficulty. This made it possible for a player’s next run to be a New Game Plus. Does Diablo 4 follow in those footsteps?

Is New Game Plus a Diablo IV Feature?

Functionally Yes, Diablo 4 has a New Game Plus feature, although Blizzard has made some tweaks to the system. This takes the form of World Tiers. Each one will apply new effects to the game.

Diablo 4 has four World Tiers, with two of them unlocked at the start of the game. Players will be able to progress through the game and unlock further difficulty levels. However, rather than unlocking these harder difficulties by just beating the previous difficulty, players will have to open and beat certain dungeons to unlock the next difficulty.

This functions as a New Game Plus by giving players unlockable difficulties that can be accessed with the same character. Loot and Rewards will be increased with each difficulty, allowing players to progress their character. However, you can’t play through the campaign more than once, unless you create a new character.

  • Torment (World Tier IV)

The first two difficulties are unlocked at the start of the game, with Adventurer being a new player mode and Veteran being a mode for returning Diablo players. The other two can be unlocked by completing Capstone Dungeons in the previously unlocked difficulty.
