BattleBit Remastered has topped the Steam charts on PC, which is a surprise for a game made by a small development team. Does BattleBit Remastered Have Official Controller Support?
BattleBit Remastered does not officially support controllers to use within the game at the time of this writing. While the game can perfectly work with a mouse and keyboard, it is unfortunate for those who play on a television or handheld device like the Steam Deck. Although, the game is listed as having “Partial Controller Support” on the game’s Steam store page.
The developer had said in a Steam forums post that controller support was “not something we could squeeze in before Early Access launch.” The studio plans on making improvements to controller support in the future and had made its own configurable controller map that players can use in the meantime.
How To Enable Controller Support in BattleBit Remastered
BattleBit Remastered players are able to use controllers in the game by first changing a few settings in Steam itself. It also requires a custom controller configuration that the developers themselves had provided and is listed below. Here is how to enable controller support in the game:
- Go to Settings under Steam after connecting a controller.
- Choose the Controller option from the menu.
- Select the Enable Steam Input option depending on which controller you are using such as Xbox, PlayStation, Switch, or generic controllers.
- Head to your Library and right-click on BattleBit Remastered.
- Select Properties, then Controller, and then General Controller Settings.
