It is no secret that Hideo Kojima is actively working on Death Stranding 2. It has been teased for a while now, and there was even a live presentation back in September where Kojima and the devs shared more info about the game. We can expect Death Stranding 2: On The Beach to be released somewhere in 2025, and it will be a PS5 exclusive. It was even nominated for the Most Anticipated Game at the Game Awards 2024. The main voice actors (Norman Reedus, Léa Seydoux, and Troy Baker) will reprise their roles, as will others. On December 26, Hideo Kojima teased more Death Stranding 2 info, sharing that some voice actors have already wrapped up.

Kikuko Inoue and Yasuyuki Kase Wrapped Up Their Voice Acting for Death Stranding 2

Death Stranding 2 is in full development. The first title proved so popular and the whole gaming world is closely following what Kojima is doing with the sequel. The latest tidbits of information are: “That’s a wrap for Kikuko Inoue and Yasuyuki Kase. Thank you so much. But the game still remains in development”

For the record, Kikuko Inoue already worked on the first Death Stranding. She is the voice Amelie in the Japanese version of the game, and chances are she’ll reprise the role (with the title being “On The Beach”, after all).

As for Yasuyuki Kase, he’s mostly known for being the Japanese dub for Ryan Reynolds and Paul Bettany, as well as being the voice for Johhny in the Japanese version of Final Fantasy VII Rebirth.

It’s great that Hideo Kojima is sharing these bits of info with the fans, allowing us to see what’s going on ‘behind the curtain” from time to time. Unfortunately, we don’t know in which quarter of 2025 Death Stranding 2 will be released, but seeing that it is a massive undertaking, we expect to see it in the second half of the year.
