While your loot may include a rare drop, you’ll need to exercise some caution, as areas, where you can find locked bins, are usually infested with zombies. Although, the good news is that locked crates are effectively zombie-proof, securing your loot.
The second way to obtain rare weapons in Dead Island 2 is to take down as many zombies as possible and hope for a weapon drop. This route does require some luck and a good bit of patience, but you’re likely to take down countless zombies in a playthrough, upping your odds of obtaining a rare weapon.
