How Does Dead Island 2 End

During the final act of Dead Island 2, players vanquish the ultimate undead foe Reubenator, only to collapse in exhaustion following the battle. Shortly thereafter, you regain consciousness and make your way to an escape helicopter alongside fellow characters Emma Jaunt, Patton, and Sam B, all of whom you encountered during your journey.

When the helicopter’s about to leave you then discover that Tisha, another key character that is required to make a cure for the Autophage, has gone missing. You stay behind to search for her, watching the rest of the group fly to safety.

The game’s final scene adds an air of mystery. As the helicopter departs, the viewpoint shifts to Konradt, Thurston, and Cadenza on a nearby rooftop, discussing the player character’s decision to stay behind for Tisha. Konradt questions if that’s the sole reason. As Numen, they share a unique understanding of the zombie infection, and the game concludes with the player effortlessly defeating a zombie horde, demonstrating their newfound ease in handling the infected

Once the main narrative has reached its end, players can opt to complete any outstanding side quests, Lost & Found missions or tie up any other loose ends. However, the primary story has reached its conclusion, at least for the time being.
