Commandos is a classic series of isometric real-time tactical games and one of the most famous series of the genre. You lead a squad of Allied Commandos in WW2, each with their own skills and equipment, allowing you to handle various challenges, from driving, carrying heavy objects, and punching people, to clipping razor wire, taking hostages, and using explosives. The series began in 1998 and had four sequels in total (with the last one being the worst of the bunch since it deviated from the isometric tactical genre and was a stealth first-person shooter). The second and third games got remastered recently (in 2022), but the last major title was released in 2006. And now, almost 20 years later, Commandos are back! Commandos: Origins takes you back in time to the first days of the Commando squad (hence, “Origins”), how they formed, and what their first missions were.

The release date for Commandos: Origins is Wednesday, April 9, 2025.

It will be playable on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X and S, and on PC (via Steam and Epic Games).
