Everything is coming up Sandfall as Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 sales reach a new milestone, after only 12 days.
The success of Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 is truly something that should be studied. What started as a passion project of one man turned into a gaming sensation, easily one of the best games of 2025, and a GOTY contender for sure. The success was so great that even the president of France made a statement about the game. It all goes to show that a huge team with all the resources at hand is not mandatory for making a great game – a small team with a clear vision can really do wonders. Clair Obscur managed to sell a million copies just three days after the launch, and the largest retailers sold out all of their copies in no time. But it looks like the game has no intention of stopping there.
Clair Obscur Expedition 33 Sales Reach a New Milestone – Two Million Copies Sold After Only 12 Days
Selling a million copies is no small feat. Selling double the amount deserves all the praise, and Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 managed to sell two million copies in only 12 days after the release.
For a studio that has never released a game before this one, and is far from a “popular” one (like Capcom, Rockstar, Ubisoft, etc.), this is astounding. For comparison, Assassin’s Creed: Shadows had three million sales within a week. But that is a long-standing franchise with millions of fans, made by one of the biggest studios out there, and was teased for quite a while. The fact that Clair Obscur came close to a game like that is truly amazing.
So, if you still haven’t told all of your friends that they should try out Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 as soon as possible, now is the perfect time. Let’s see if it can make it to three million. Tomorrow comes!
