It was just a matter of time, let’s be real. Clair Obscur Expedition: 33 finally got to the Overwhelmingly Positive review score on Steam.

If you have been living under a rock, Clair Obscur Expedition: 33 is a new gaming sensation, made by a small studio called Sandfall Interactive. The team got together and decided to make a game they would love to play, and used every trick in the book to achieve that. And achieve it they did, as upon release, Clair Obscur Expedition: 33 broke all the records. It combines a masterpiece of a story, worldbuilding, characters, one of the best soundtracks ever, a perfect voice cast, and simple yet engaging gameplay mechanics. The positive reviews kept coming in, and they have finally reached a new breaking point.

Clair Obscur Expedition 33 Reached a New Milestone – an Overwhelmingly Positive Review on Steam

Sandfall has already reached a number of impressive milestones with its game. They have reached over two million sales, have been commended by the President of France, and their soundtrack has been streamed over 33 million times, to name a few. And now, they can add another “achievement” to their list: the Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 is rated Overwhelmingly Positive on Steam.

To get to “Overwhelmingly Positive”, a game must have over 500 reviews, and at least 95% of them have to be positive. Clair Obscur has over 62k reviews, meaning that more than 59k of the reviewers recommend this game.

The reviews range from simple ones, like: “Beautiful game – can’t stop recommending it to everyone“ and “this is the best game i played in the last 5 years, if you think of buying it, all I say listen to the soundtrack.“, to the more complex ones, like: “I was skeptical. I thought it was just hype. It’s not. This game is a modern masterpiece. It is a work of art in writing, soundtrack, level design, player freedom and gameplay. Like a great work of art, I will wish to go back in time to experience it for the first time again. Don’t look anything up, play it freely, no need to rush. It’ll punch you in the stomach with the harsh emotions though, so beware.”

We couldn’t agree more, and this is another well-deserved victory for Sandfall!
