Saving your game in Cities Skylines 2 is as simple as any game out there. Just follow the steps below:
- Pause the game by pressing either the ESC button or clicking the gear icon on the upper right corner of the screen.
- A menu will pop up with one of the options being Save Game.
- Clicking it will lead you to a window where you can name your save file and choose where you want to save your game (either locally or through the Microsoft Cloud service).
- After choosing where you want to save your game, you can now hit Save.

How to enable the auto-save feature
For those unaware, the game also has an auto-save feature. However, you have to manually activate it by following the steps below:
- Launch Cities Skylines 2 and head over to the Options menu.
- In the General tab, find Autosave. This can be found under Performance Preference.
- Check off the box, and voila, you just enabled the game’s auto-save feature. You can now either begin a new game or load a saved file.
