How to Export Electricity in Cities Skylines 2
To export electricity in Cities Skylines 2, you’ll first need to connect your city’s power grid to a Transformer Station. When you do this, you can then connect the station to high voltage power lines running out of the city. These should extend past your city’s tiles in order to export goods. You can choose to lay your lines either above or underground, so weigh your options to decide which best suits your city.
To attempt the export process, just bear in mind that you must be generating more than what your city needs to function properly. In the case that you’re consuming too much electricity, you won’t have excess power to export elsewhere. Fossil fuel plants generate huge amounts of electricity, so they can be a great option to work towards a surplus.
With the correct structures in place, you’ll start exporting electricity from your city. However, you’ll want to ensure that your setup is working properly once you’ve laid the groundwork. To do this, look over the Electricity Trade section of the Electricity menu. If effective, the process of exporting electricity will take place on its own.
