If you’re looking for cheats and console commands for Cities Skylines 2, you’re not alone. Read on for all the details regarding existing codes and more.
With the PC launch of Cities Skylines 2 comes the demand for existing cheats and console commands. This is to be expected, as the use of codes is widely popularized among those who play city-builders and other simulators. Whether you’re aiming to line your pockets with cash fast or access parts of the game that aren’t yet available to you, there’s no denying that codes and commands can come in handy. That said, players may be left to their own devices following release — and that isn’t a bad thing.
Are There Cheats or Console Commands in Cities Skylines 2?
At the time of writing, there are no known cheats or console commands for Cities Skylines 2, per se. To be clear, this doesn’t mean we won’t see them crop up with time. However, console commands were unavailable in the previous entry, and players have yet to find any shortcuts that yield the desired results with the new release. That said, several former cheats have now become options that you can toggle in the new installment.
When you start a new game in Cities Skylines 2, you can instantly unlock loads of content from the menu. Of the boxes listed, you’ll see one option to Unlock All, referring to technology available in the game. Another is marked Unlimited Money, which, of course, provides you with all the cash you could ever need to manage your city. You can toggle each of these options to make your gameplay experience much more streamlined from the start.
- Deep Simulation: Make choices that have ripple effects across the city. Intricate AI and economic systems mean players will need to strategize, problem solve and react to changes, challenges and opportunities.
- Epic Scale, Endless Possibilities: Build a thriving metropolis without compromise. In Cities: Skylines II, players will be able to build sky-high and across the map to realize their dream city like never before.
- Cities That Come Alive: Follow the lives of individual citizens, from love and loss to wealth and well-being. Player decisions will shape the lives of their city’s citizens.
- A Dynamic World: Pick a map to set the climate and biome of the city. These natural forces will shape the growth of players’ cities as they contend with rising pollution, changeable weather and seasonal challenges.
- English (Playback Language)
However, using these toggle options will automatically disable achievements. Though understandable, this is certainly a toss-up. If you’re looking for some challenge on your playthrough, then you may want to skip the easy route. While it’s going to take a significant amount of time and resources to accomplish, earning every achievement is all the more satisfying when you manage it on your own.
That said, newcomers to the series will surely appreciate the advantage offered by toggling these options. Not to mention, this addition is a big step up from the last entry, as these features were only available to players through mods.
We’ll be sure to provide updates with any additional codes if they appear in the future. For the time being, developer Colossal Order has provided players with everything they need to build a bustling cityscape. For more on Cities Skylines 2, check out these additional guides from our team:
