Which of the New Season 1 Maps Is the Best? Black Ops 6 Players Share Their Faves

One of the new maps for Season 1 of Black Ops 6.

Season 1 started on November 14, and after testing everything out during the weekend, the players have a lot to say. As you know, the devs introduced some new weapons and three new maps in Season 1 of Black Ops 6. The players discussed their favorites and revealed what bothered them about the other maps.

Three New Maps Dropped in Season 1

As you probably know by now, the three new maps are Extraction, Hideout, and Heirloom. Extraction and Hideout are both 6v6, however, Heirloom is 6v6 & 2v2, for an added twist.

Well, as always, Black Ops 6 players had a lot of opinions (as they should!). As of the time of writing this article, the majority of players agree that Hideout is the most enjoyable map, with Extraction being voted the second best.

One player, pwfoff, noted: “I’ve been enjoying Hideout. I’m yet to play Heirloom but I’ve heard mixed reviews on it so I’m eager to try when I jump in the moshpit playlist”. -CapriSun- added: “Hideout is one of their best maps. Easy to understand the lanes and where your angles are IMO”.

Black Ops 6 Players Are Divided Over One of the New Maps

You might be wondering what about Heirloom? Well, that’s where things get complicated. Players either absolutely adore this map or they despise it. It’s rare to see a topic so polarizing as this one map.

One Redditor noted: “Call me an a**hole but for me the best one is Heirloom. The fact that it feels so arcade makes it good for my playstyle. The only thing I hate about it is the fact that the spawns are way too static, so the flow tends to get s**tty at times”.

PapaTeeps added: “I adore Heirloom for its simplicity. The snipers can hug the outside, and the run and gunners can play around the sculptures in the middle. I haven’t played a ton of objective game modes on it yet but it’s been a blast for tdm/kill confirmed”.

However, some players can’t stand this map. New_Employee_TA insisted: “Heirloom is awful and makes me miss Warhead. Huge sight lines on a strike map, dominated by snipers camping in the back. Middle area “art installation” or whatever tf you wanna call it is weird and confusing. That area is so close quarters that only shotguns are really good”.

We have to admit that Hideout was our favorite over the weekend. However, after reading some of these opinions, we’ll gladly give Heirloom another try. How about you? Which of the new maps in Season 1 of Black Ops 6 is your favorite?
