The excruciatingly long wait is nearing the end. The Call of Duty Black Ops 6 fans have just entered the release week and is there a better way to start it than with a pre-download? The hype is palpable and October 25 can’t arrive soon enough.

Black Ops 6 Pre-download Is Now Available

Many players reported being quite surprised upon seeing a new update on the morning of October 21. We know, it shouldn’t be surprising, but after waiting for a month and a half, this pre-download confirmed that Black Ops 6 truly is near.

One thing attracted a lot of attention – the size of the pre-download. Now, if you see reports of other players having bigger or smaller updates than yours, don’t worry. Some players had to download the entire game, other players downloaded just an update. Of course, size can also differ depending on the device you’ll be playing.

While some players had to download 40GB updates, other players weren’t as fortunate. One player, kenzisapphire, noted: “Mine gave me an additional 126GB install, and I had to delete even more stuff to add it”.

Some more experienced fans warned the Xbox players that the pre-download might take a while so they should plan it accordingly. Dex-Danger explained: “That happens because, for some reason, on Xbox, certain updates take forever to install and are actually moving data around to properly install the update. So it’s both the UI update AND the BO6 preinstall at the same time”.

Call of Duty Players Are Impatient for October 25

Now that the Call of Duty Black Ops 6 players have downloaded the pre-download, and re-examined everything from Omnimovement, over maps, and matchmaking, the only thing left to do is wait. At the time of writing this article, less than 4 days are left until the release.

As you know, the official release date is October 25. Due to the time zones, some players will be able to play the game on October 24, starting from 9 pm. Still, for the majority of the World, the release date remains October 25. Some players even admitted to taking Friday off work, so they could have a long weekend to enjoy the game.

The overall hype for the game hasn’t dwindled down since the beta, even though the devs decided against the early access. So, get ready, October 25 will be here in the blink of an eye. We can’t wait, hopefully we’ll see you there.
