The moment all the BO6 fans have been waiting for has finally arrived. During the gamescom 2024, the players had an opportunity to watch the “Most Wanted” campaign level playthrough which revealed some exciting new details. The Call of Duty Black Ops 6 community was the most excited about learning a couple of details about the latest protagonist, Case.
Did They Reveal the Name of the Black Ops 6 Protagonist?
First and foremost, let’s talk about the identity of the BO6 protagonist. The video revealed the name William “Case” Calderon. Many players excitedly pointed out that the last name might indicate that the protagonist was Hispanic, which hasn’t happened in a while.
Well, the good news is that he can be. But, most likely you’ll get to choose the name, while the protagonist will be referred to as “Case”. One player, breadfatherx, explained: “I’m pretty sure the name is actually the player name, and William Calderon is the name entered by whoever recorded that mission playthrough”.
They explained: “The only consistent name will be the codename Case. Just like how we could put whatever name for Bell”. Another player, alejoSOTO, confirmed and reminded the community that was the case previously. They said: “Good catch, Cold War also had a custom named protagonist, but nicknamed Bell”.
Devoted Call of Duty BO6 Players Reveal More Details About the Protagonist
Aside from the name of the protagonist, eagle-eyed Call of Duty Black Ops 6 fans discovered more cool details. If you look carefully, you’ll see that Case has a tattoo on the inner side of the left wrist. Some fans suggested that it was the Eye of Providence tattoo. Others think it might be the US Army Delta Force emblem.
Also, the players figured out that Case was probably a silent protagonist since they didn’t hear him speak not even once for the entire video which lasted almost seven minutes. MikeHawkSmaul noted: “I find it ironic how the Black Ops series pioneer talkative protagonists, and now they’re sticking with voiceless protagonists for the last two games”.
Finally, what would an article for a highly expected game be without some fan-made theories? We stumbled upon an unlikely theory that would make many BO6 fans incredibly happy. One fan, tuan321bin, suggested: “A silly theory but I think this could be Bell. Maybe after the Cold War ending Bell was actually kept alive by the CIA and then relocated somewhere else”.
That would be an amazing plot twist, but we’re sure that the devs would have given the players some easter eggs if the protagonist was meant to be Bell. Well, the players will find out soon enough as the beta launches on August 30. We can’t wait, how about you?
