By now, the majority of players know that Season 1 is just around the corner, starting on November 14. Even though the game had a rough start, the fans are very excited to see what’s to come. The Black Ops 6 devs raised the hype by giving a sneak peek at all the new maps that would be added to mark the start of Season 1.
Black Ops 6 Devs Share Details About Season 1
On November 4, the developers shared some exciting news on the official Call of Duty page on X. They noted: “Season 01 takes Black Ops to the criminal underground on November 14. Here’s a sneak peek at a few of the new maps coming to Black Ops 6 Multiplayer this season: Hideout – 6v6, Extraction – 6v6, Heirloom – 6v6 & 2v2”.
Alongside, they shared a preview of the maps. Players were cautiously optimistic once they had seen which maps were to be added. NoNefariousness2144 stated: “Actually getting new 6v6 maps is so nice compared to MWII season 1 just adding Shoot the Ship and Warzone”.
Other players shared their wishes for these maps. One of them, grimmleyX, stated: “As long as they’re 3 lanes they will suit the movement and the TTK. Open maps are just cancer on CoD”.
However, some players pointed out that the community shouldn’t have high hopes. HHAD98 noted: “They’re from Warzone which inherently means they will never be good 3-lane maps, gotta have angles from everywhere”.
More New Maps Will Drop During Season 1
The Black Ops 6 publisher, Treyarch, shared some exciting news about even more new maps coming in Season 1. They took to the official Treyarch page on X and shared the announcement. It read: “More maps coming mid-season, too. Season 01 launch is only the beginning”.
Now, this announcement caused even bigger hype in the community, as players shared their wishes and expectations. Milo raved: “Treyarch team is about to shock the world and drop 2 zombies map in a single season just to prove the doubters wrong”. Another player, reece, had different hopes. They suggested: “Get them BO3 remakes in. We need Fringe, Combine, Evac, Redwood, etc”.
So, which maps would you like to see? If we were being honest, we truly enjoyed Nuketown over the weekend. We hope to see some more classic maps added. Only time will tell. In the meantime, enjoy the game.
