What is Hide And Seek Mode in Among Us?
Here is everything you need to know about the changes to the game’s mechanics:
- The imposter/seeker is announced at the start of the game and is visually distinguished as a monster. Their objective is to kill everyone within three minutes.
- The crew members can either hide and wait for the timer to run out or do tasks that cause the timer to drop faster. They can hide inside vents temporarily, but only for a limited number of times (that can be set before the game).
- There is a danger meter at the top-left of the screen that shows how close the imposter is to you. As the imposter gets closer, the meter increases, and vice versa.
- There is a Final Hide phase that begins after a certain amount of time has passed (two minutes by default), where the imposter gains extra speed and is periodically hinted at the location of crewmates. Since these tasks are disabled, the objective is to stay away from the imposter and hide.
