With mod support for Baldur’s Gate 3 on console, fans list their most anticipated mods

With mods finally officially supported on console, Baldur’s Gate 3 players on those platforms can take part in what PC players had for months. There is still the process of transferring many of those mods over to the console side of things, with some still not being compatible. However, it’s early and we can expect that it won’t be long until they become available. The community wonders which mods – console-specific or not – would be best to see come next.

BG3 community’s console mod wishlist

PC mods are slowly migrating to console, with plenty already available for download through the game’s official mod manager. Still, there’s plenty of room to dream of possibilities, with Vstriker10 on starting a discussion on Reddit about which mods the fans want to see next. “With the Patch 7 on console just dropping, what mods do y’all want? Personally, I want mods that give expanded spell libraries, and the Artificer Class, and more races. It’s there on PC can’t wait for them to come to console.” the OP stated, with many players coming up with their own wishes and suggestions.

Face, hair, and clothes mods seem to take precedence over much else, with players wanting more options to choose from. Fortunately for them, they won’t have to wait too long, as those kinds of mods are already plentiful on the PC side. “More classes, more races, more clothes, better faces and hair, party limit begone, and to be able to clone weapons and armor.”, a comment from Ninja_Cat_Production sums up most players’ opinions pretty fairly.

It’s interesting to note that not many have chosen any outlandish ideas. Other than the abovementioned cosmetics, the most popular choices revolve around the various subrace, class, and subclass variants. Artificer is among the most popular, with Blood Mage and Necromancer (a more fleshed-out version) being close second and third. For races, most players clamour for Aasimar and Goblins, with Kuo Toa coming in third.

While it’s still early days, more and more PC mods are getting their console counterparts. It won’t be long before the official mod manager list is 1-to-1 between platforms. After that, we’re sure we’ll start seeing even more options, including some more intense ones, like overhauls and new adventures. Some are already in the works and we can’t wait to see what comes next for Baldur’s Gate 3. In the meantime, what are some of the mods that you would like to see on console?
