Druid fans rejoice as the Circle of Stars Subclass just got some love from Larian in the first Hotfix for Baldur’s Gate 3 after the famous Patch 8.

In the middle of April, Larian released the final major update for Baldur’s Gate 3, which added 12 new Subclasses to the game, as well as other improvements, like the Photo Mode, Crossplay, and more. As for Subclasses, not all of them can be a 10/10, and some are bound to be a bit lackluster. We covered what the community thinks are the best new subclasses, a well as which ones are a bit disappointing. On that last note, one of the contenders is the Circle of Stars Druid. But, on April 30, Larian released the first Hotfix after Patch 8, and, among other various minor improvements and fixes, they have shown the Circle of Stars some love.

The Latest Baldur’s Gate 3 Hotfix Improved The Circle of Stars Druid

While being an okayish Subclass, the community has some issues with the Circle of Stars Druid. The fans expected some better visuals from a Druid that uses constellations as Wild Shape. Furthermore, some noted that those constellations take away some of the more popular Wild Shapes, namely the Owlbear, Deep Rothé, Panther, and Dilophosaurus. But, whether it was due to the player backlash or it was a simple oversight by Larian, they chose to add those missing Wild Shape forms to the Stars Druid.

In the latest Hotfix, one of the Subclass improvements states: “Circle of the Stars druids can now gain the additional Wild Shapes (Deep Rothé, Panther, Owlbear, Dilophosaurus).”

From now on, the Circle of Stars Druid will not be missing out on the “cool” Shapes. Folks have a soft spot for the shining disco-ball Druid and mostly picked it just for the fun of it, but this change may make it a more viable choice, mechanics-wise.

While we know that Larian will be releasing small Hotfixes like these, there won’t be a major update for the game. But, the modding scene is still going strong and we have some great campaigns to look forward to, like the Curse of Strahd or the expansion to Act 2.
