What Is the Max Party Size in Baldur’s Gate 3

Looking to find out what is the max party size in Baldur’s Gate 3? Then you have come to the right place.

Baldur’s Gate 3 is an RPG with the style of Dungeons and Dragons, and that means having a party of characters at almost all times during the adventure. Going by yourself, while entirely possible, is hardly an optimal choice. This guide will show players how many companions can be in the party at one time, and who can join it.

Max Party Size in Baldur’s Gate 3

Baldur’s Gate 3 players are able to have a maximum party size of four people. That means players can recruit three other companions to join the main character to explore and fight in battles. This also applies to online co-op multiplayer, so only three friends can join you in the adventure. Note that in multiplayer games, each of your friends who join will have to replace one of the companions. The party size has to remain at four maximum.

It is also not possible to increase the size of the party throughout the entire game. However, there is a PC mod called Party Limit Begone that can allow you to increase the party size limit to eight characters, but it is an unofficial mod that is up to the player’s discretion to use.
