Want to know if Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora is multiplayer with co-op support? You’re not alone. We’ll cover everything you need to know about potential game modes to explore when you start your playthrough this week.
Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora is finally set to release this week, taking players to the fantastical world of Pandora for a first-person action-adventure gameplay experience. The content of the game from Ubisoft Massive mirrors elements popularized in the acclaimed film series from director James Cameron. From soaring through the skies on the back of your mount to mastering various styles of combat, defending the Western Frontier is an essential task made all the more exciting alongside skilled comrades.
This has led hopeful players to speculate whether Frontiers of Pandora will offer up multiplayer game modes at launch. Fortunately, Ubisoft has delivered on all accounts, remaining true to the ways of the Na’vi. Here’s what we know about multiplayer support in Frontiers of Pandora.
- Enhance your game experience with the Limited Edition and get access to the Sarentu Hunter Equipment Pack including one unique weapon and one character gear set only at Amazon.
- Explore a world of wonder and danger. Experience the epic wonders of the Western Frontier, a never-before-seen continent of Pandora. Journey through beautiful yet unpredictable open world regions, where lowering your guard can lead to deadly mistakes.
- Become Na’vi. Harness your incredible strength and agility while customizing your character; crafting new gear, and upgrading skills and weapons to fit your playstyle.
- Soar the skies. Bond with your own personal banshee that will give you an edge in aerial combat and can be used for traveling across the vast Western Frontier.
- Master multiple combat styles. Fight off the dangers of Pandora as you embrace the precision of traditional Na’vi weapons, including your bow and spear-thrower, or leverage your human training with more destructive weapons, such as an assault rifle or a shotgun.
Is Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora Multiplayer?
Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora will support multiplayer upon release this week. While you’re free to choose whether you’d rather take on missions and enemies solo, having a partner by your side can make the tasks at hand seem a bit less daunting. That said, you’ll need to make a good portion of progress in the game in order to unlock this feature.
In the same vein, crossplay is activated by default when you start your playthrough. This means you can send and receive invites from friends once you’re able to access multiplayer game modes. However, if you want to stick with a single-player experience, no worries. You can always toggle this feature off in your game settings.
Can You Play Co-Op in Frontiers of Pandora?
You can play Frontiers of Pandora in co-op multiplayer once you’ve completed the Arahane Clan quest. This main story mission will become accessible shorty after the the tutorial phase at the start of your playthrough. By finishing up this quest, you can immediately join a party with up to two players.
Just bear in mind that your Ubisoft Connect account must be set up in order to successfully send and accept party invitations. I recommend getting this task out of the way before you begin your playthrough, as you’ll want to team up early on.
