As we prepare to bid farewell to 2014, now would be a perfect opportunity to look back at some of the greater (and worse) things to happen in gaming this past year. While there are many gems that will be treasured for years to come, some may consider 2014 as a year of disappointment. This year we saw the disappointing release of Watch Dogs, which clearly didn’t live up to the hype, as well as AC: Unity and the Halo Master Chief Collection, both of which had less than stellar releases.
On the bright side, there were a ton of extremely high profile releases, many of which delivered, such as Diablo III: Reaper of Souls, or Dragon Age: Inqusition. Some games also took the public by surprise on how good they were, such as Shadow of Mordor or South Park: the Stick of Truth
