currently getting through Hollow Night, that game is huge. they must have not played that one. Axiom Verge is another that should be on the list. that one was almost a carbon copy of metroid minus the powers and characters. and of corse the Indy game of the year, Celeste is missing as well. ...
honorable mention to all the assassin creed chronicles which i would consider more castlvania platforming than metroid, still fun little time wasters though.
