Those that don't want it still want it for another reason, a big reason.

You see here is the big difference between PS3 fans and 360 fans. Many PS3 fans want 360 exclusives because they want to play them.

360 fans want PS3 exclusives just because they are exclusive. They couldn't give a crap about the game, they just want it because Sony has it and they can't stand it.

I am so glad I own both consoles.

well this is not the first time mgs4 has been confirmed for 360 and certainly not the last. earlier this week an xbox exclusive mgs was supposed to be coming out instead of mgs4 now its mgs4 coming out. There are just too many mgs4 for 360 rumors. Personally i believe it will happen after about 12-14 months like he said however if this is not confirmed for about 6months after the ps3 version is released then it will still have the same system selling stats so no worries really. MGS4 will probably be game of the yr next yr and its quite natural for everyone to want to play it. But as always if you wanna play it next yr BUY A PS3. It won't kill you then you can play all the other games too like infamous, GOW3, KZ2 Gran Turismo the list goes on and on.

Drawing a conclusion from the pr email is however silly. Xbox fam is going out on a limb confirming this...if they are wrong dosen't do much for their credibility however ryan payton and kojima have been quite clear that the game is exclusive so i'm still skeptical. MGS4 will be the greatest game of 2008 good luck to those of you waiting to play it end of 2009.

@angrytypingguy dissin sony fanboys when your pic clearly shows you are an xbox fanboy. Thats just hypocritical. Gow3 coming to ps3 is speculation however it is reasonable to believe unless msoft has exclusive agreement with epic it will stay exclusive but it might not if they don't.

I mean seriously, this won't be the first time that this has happened. MGS series has been on the XBox platform before...just delayed (remember MGS2?). Those that have 360s will be able to enjoy this game to it's fullest. But the only problem with selling it 12 -14 months later is that the desire for the game will have fallen a great deal. Most would have played it already on a PS3.

*yet another disagree...what happened with the sales of Xbox's MGS 2? Do you research.

EDIT: One more reason why its PS3 exclusive. Konami stated that they had an agreement with Sony for exclusivity.

I have just been in contact with a very reliable source at EPIC he shall remain nameless but he has been with the company for over 10 years has a full time contract and he is the company's no1 cleaner!!

Compression m8 Sony blueray drive holds more data than a dvd 9 right but it reads it much slower. In order to overcome this hurdle they do not compress their data and just spread it through the blueray basically making something that would have been 7 gigs compressed into 22 gigs. This is why multiplatform tittles are much bigger sizes on ps3 but contain the same amount of content.

That's absolute balls. Multiplatform titlestake up the same memory on dvds as they do on blu ray discs. Don't you remember the article in which a reviewer ranted about the fact that review copies of multiplatform ps3 games came on dvds?
What I will tell you is that MGS4 has uncompressed audio, which takes up a huge amount of memory.

agree with first knight as well.After MGS2 i stopped playing them.The stories never really made sense and after playing Splinter cell i never looked back.
So dont care if it comes out on the 360.And as for DVD9 limitations it might fit.After all Mass Effect is 6.7gig and i put in 20 hours,Assasins Creed - 6.2gig and i heard that if you insert your PS3 UT3 into the blue-ray drive of a pc it would read 4.5gig.

I feel your pain, I said the same thing about MGS. After playing part two
I felt cheated. Right around that time splinter cell came out and I never looked at MGS in the same light. MGS is well respected, but they have to do something about these General Hospital story lines.

I remember playing Metal Gear as a kid on the NES. Then I graduated to the PS1 version. It was only after the first Metal Gear on the PS2 did I realize that this game wasn't for me anymore.

One reason, the story line. Whenever one of the characters shot another and exclaimed "I forgot. Your heart is on the other side." and including all the other WTF moments I knew it wasn't for me. The second reason was probably Splinter Cell. Which in my opinion has better stealth features.

I think I'm going to pass on Ninja Gaiden 2. I'll still be too busy playing Heavenly Sword. A game that in my opinion is better then Ninja Gaiden and one that has one of the most incredible stories ever.

Don't just assume that anyone who may have a distaste for a certain title means they only play on another platform. People have different opinions respect that and quit being a fanboy.
