Yeah the lighting engine looks tweaked the HDR lighting was crazy. It just looks more polished graphically and gameplay wise. The detail and lighting on the guns blew me away. The background environments look much more polished. The Zombie models have amazing detail and their animations are much better. The game just looks smoother.

you really do not understand why I like playing L4D on my 52 inch , HD TV, in my kick ass couch, in my kick ass game room, with incredible surround sound.

(i know u can hook up the comp to the TV and you can play with the 360 controller to boot, but it is still not the same. )

Sorry but i think the 360 is much easier and comfortable. the graphical difference is marginal at best. Plus it is much cheaper, and i hate playing online with my computer for security reasons.

i hope u understand now.

I have both versions, but I prefer the 57" screen,split screen co op,and the home theater myself.
Im even comfortable with a controller with it after years of FPS mousing (but cant say the same for ALL FPS)

I've played PC games on high-end HDTVs and, meh, they're ok. I much prefer a high-resolution monitor with a high pixel density. The graphics are so much sharper compared to pixels on an HDTV the size of your fist.

Left 4 Dead has split-screen co-op on the PC, too. You can even play split-screen online.

I should also add the convienence factor too. Playing at my friends house involves carrying my controller and a copy of the game to his place.
Im far enough away from my big screen that it looks pretty good IMO.

I didnt know the PC version does split screen though.

I can't stand gaming on my couch. I need to be close to the action and alert. Two things I'm not when laying down. If I sit up on the couch I start to get back pain from the lack of back-rest. I love my nice big office chair though.

Also, about price, you can build a PC that can easily run L4D on the highest settings for about the same price as a 60 or 120 GB Xbox.

Why every "AAA" game should be a shooter? Your list is full of them, MW2, Bioshock2, L4D2 and even SC:Conviction is getting the TPS treatment. DS is an amazing RPG with critical acclaim, why to bash it? cause is not in your console of choice?, I like variety, so I enjoy MGS4, inFAMOUS, DS, R&C and shooters like UC2, KZ2 AND additionally I can play Gears of War, L4D and Conviction whenever suits me.

Most recent multiplats are hard to impossible to tell one version from the other, so I dont care about 360 running "the best".

However THAT 5% is what really makes the difference, that is why I got a PS3 (putting aside hardware quality and feautures). Yeah that 5% is what makes the PS3 an absolute must buy. On the other hand, MOST 360 games are on PC and run noticiable best. Lets be real on this.

I agree a lot of droids have been exposed to windows too long. Their hate for MS is a non factor with -Games For Windows- gaming so they deal with it. They continue to hate on other MS products with unhealthy malice because these products have not monopolized their respective markets. Although you may or may not be a fanboy, you are in cautious waters. Every time Microsoft has an exclusive game or franchise release also on PC, PS3 fanboys are quick to say "Ohh, it's not exclusive, I'll play it on my l337 gaming rig". Happens EVERY time.

See with PS3 fanboys, you don't just get the regular fanboy crap, you get even worse. If the 360 has an exclusive, doesn't matter what it is, the fanboys try their hardest to act like no one cares about it, downgrade the graphics, etc.

The whole AI director technology behind L4D is to make sure than it never plays the same way. I've played the No Mercy campaign hundreds of times and it's always different.
