Xbox Live Marketplace Update: Thursday 11th June 2009

Console Monster writes: "It goes without a doubt that today is one of the best Xbox Live Marketplace updates to date with brand new downloadable content for seven titles including the likes of Call of Duty: World at War, Burnout: Paradise, Saints Row 2 and more. It's probably worth mentioning that a lot of what is on offer is at the very cheap price of free! Here is the full Xbox Live Marketplace update for Thursday 11th June 2009:

Call of Duty: World at War: Map Pack 2

Call of Duty: World at War Map Pack 2 continues to expand the addictive COD multiplayer experience with four new maps. 2 - I want to make a couple of points
1. Sony has set a precedent of reporting the store updates on Thursday. I have been checking N4G for updates to the Playstation Store for a year at least. However, for the last two or three Thursdays I have noticed that on there are various internet articles that report the additions to the Xbox Store as well. These articles represent new behavior.

2. Those download packs are awfully large for an Xbox 360.

COD:World at War Map Pack = 454MB
Sonic Unleashed: Empire City & Adabat Adventure Pack = 525MB
Burnout Paradise 1.9 = 1GB.

About 80% of the 360 hard drives in use are the 20GB model and they come with only 13GB unused. The way Microsoft buys and offers DLC it won't take much before their users have nowhere to put it.
