Second exclusive Xbox 360 Naruto game in development

It looks like the PlayStation 3 is not the only one getting an exclusive Naruto game this year. Ubisoft have just announced Naruto 2: Broken Bond, the second exclusive Xbox 360 Naruto title. The second game, however, will not be an action/adventure title like the first game. Naruto 2: Broken Bond will be a fighting game, with the battle between Naruto and Sasuko as main stage. Naruto 2: Broken Bond will ship in november 2008 exclusively on Xbox 360. More details and media is expected during E3 2008.

This one is just a battle game so it will probably have online. I think the PS3 naruto was supposed to have some free roam elements. Anyway if 360 naruto doesn't look better than PS3 naruto, screw ubisoft and their talks of ps3 not being able to run naruto

Sometimes visuals define game-play and I'm not just talking about the simple 2D (two dimensions) / 3D (three dimensions). A good example would be the DS and PlayStation Portable. They both have 3D visuals yet the experiences can be different. With better graphic movement can be more fluent like seen in fighting games etc.

1.3, I thought Naruto games have been fighters in the past?.

1.8, Are you joking? 1) they have different artstyles 2)The 360 version is for more advanced graphically; looking better in my opinion by far but one could argue they like the natural anime style the PS3 game displays better(slightly faded and bland though).

lol, man people are slow, I'm simply stating that online can be on the PlayStation 3 side. The PlayStation 3 can harvest better graphics than the XBOX 360. The XBOX 360 can only do 720p while the PlayStation 3 at 1080p. So I was stating that you can have both on the PlayStation 3 console. With this new Naruto game looking like the anime online can easily be added, like how Tekken was with an add-on. If Tekken added online with an add-on this game can easily ship with online as well.

is it me or is this series kinda doing what pokemon did, in a way, make similar games then call one the emerald version and the pearl version just on this time its on different consoles. i can only imagine these two will have a striking resemblance to each other

In this case i'd choose great visuals , since it's very important for anime games , and actually the very first time something match so much or even outperform an anime like Ninja Storm .

besides the game got more than just visuals , Cyberconnects 2's titles gameplay was always tight and really good .
I wont sell my 360 , but my choice is also already made between Cyberconnect 2/namco bandai and ubiSoft .

I anyway also feel that releasing a sequel so soon , means they wont spend much time upgrading the visuals , and that it wont match ninja storm .... wich is sad , i'm actually looking forward to competition in the naruto area , so the games could boost their evolutions :p .

I can see the game scores for both games on the Internet and magazines. Naruto: Ultimate Ninja Storm, 9 out of 10, and Naruto 2: Broken Bond, 6.5 out of 10.

Not only this but I bet we will see Ubisoft say something like "Naruto 2: Broken Bond, Only capable on the 360".

the 360 naruto game was actually pretty fun. The fighting was pretty solid on it. if they spent all their time refining it and making more combos and counters, then it would be alot more fun. I will miss the ability to jump building to building around konaha though....

And I was looking foward to the next Naruto game! Me and my sons had fun with the first one, but to just turn it into a pure fighting game with no adventure elements, makes me think of just buying it when it's used and cheap. And just spending my money on better titles!

this exclusivity should be more of a trend. instead of trying to make a game work on both systems. make an exclusive. 1 exclusive version for the 360 that takes advantage of its system. and 1 exclusive that takes advantage of the ps3.

timed exclusives suck. and fitting the same game on both systems hasnt been that profitable or successful unless your call of duty 4 or gta4.

i say more exclusive content for the 360 and the ps3 and less multi platform games.

What you guys are not getting is:

Ultimate Ninja Storm: Cyberconnect2/Bandai
Rise Of The Ninja/Broken Bond: Ubisoft

The best Naruto/Anime fighting games are from Bandai/Cyberconnect2.

Obviously, Broken Bond will be pretty much different from UNS. And if i base my choice on previous games (Naruto Naruttimet Hero 1, 2 & 3 on PS2) then Ultimate Ninja Storm will kick Broken Bond's ass pretty hard.

First Ubisoft's attempt at naruto wasn't very well received, and now they have a tough competition with a cool new game from the guys that really mastered the Naruto fighting styles.

We shall see. 360'ers just hope for the best, hopefully you'll get an awesome game just like PS3 owners are going to get.

most sony fanboy's are talking like this was first naruto game ever made for the 360 in spite of ninja storm,it's the second.I had the first one it was great and it had had online multi player, and its was received well by critics ,who lets be honest, hate naruto or anime-based games for that matter.
