Game Informer: Enemy Territory: Quake Wars Review

Creative in different ways than similar titles like Frontlines: Fuel of War, Quake Wars offers an enjoyable team-focused online experience along with mediocre offline bot matches. While it's not the next evolution of competitive FPS by any stretch of the imagination, a clean frontend with good party support and matchmaking at least lets those players who can forgive its faults an easy way to play the game the way it was meant to be.

1 - that score is bs
it diserves a 5 or less. quake wars was a huge letdown on pc and now that its on consoles with even crappier graphics it does not diserve an 8. hurry up with rage and john carmack stop hating on ps3.

Agreed, if HAZE gets a 5 then this game should have a at least a 5. This game doesn't even have a Single player story mode which makes it a no buy for me. I thought the online looked fun but with no single player its a no buy, at least at full price. I would buy it for $20 though.

I just saw the new Rambo movie. My god! It has a lot of gore.

I liked ET:QW on PC, but admittedly, I didnt live up to the Wolf ET. Interested to see how well it will do in consoles. I might get it for PS3. The recent reviews arnt too bad.

Sorry, from what ive seen, i cant believe that this would be better than haze. Or as good as NG2

May the gods one day bless us with a site that gives consistant reviews reguardless of platform and hype.

6 - Quake Wars BAD Port to Ps3
I thought this game was ok on the pc but having played the ps3 version yesterday its plain to see that its a very bad port and a few bugs thrown in aswell I wont go in to detail now but how on earth this gets an 8.1 score is insane the graphics if you can call them that are in my opinion 2.1 out of 10 but the bugs spoil it for me . i know its not out yet but i always get my games before release date wish i hadnt botherd getting this one.

7 - WTF!!!
WOW, i just checked and they gave HAZE a 5.75 but this game(Quake Wars) which is online only and single player with bots,no story mode, and no 4 player co-op a 8. WTF! I know that HAZE is not great and the voice acting sucks but other than that it is a solid shooter with more to offer than Quake Wars. So how the heck did Quake Wars Score so much higher?

8 - My only question is longevity...
COD4, Halo 3 and Vegas 2 are all very strong on LIVE - and will continue to be through the summer until Gears 2 and COD5 hit this fall.

I'm sure there will be a huge Battlefield following...I just fear that the online community for this game will be very small.

8.1 - That's the problem with the 360
With the ease of returning games 360 kids burn through games chasing achievements rather than "playing" their games for what they are worth. Only a few titles keep a player base it seems. At the rate new games are coming out, ETQW isn't one of them. Play it on the PC, where it shines.
