Why Gears 1 shoud be re-released as a stand alone MP game with updated Graphics & New Maps

With Epic disappointing many Gears of War fans with the multiplayer mode in Gears of War 2, should they re-release the original Gears of War as a stand alone multiplayer game with updated Graphics and new maps? It would certainly be a good seller!
