There is definitive proof in the story, just speculation. The game releases in 2 weeks in Japan, so the game is complete and there is no reason for an American delay unless NOA wants more Wii systems available for the launch of Brawl.

I look forward to the update tomorrow and the rest of the week to see if there is any announcement. WHen it spreads across the web they had it up on the site the last time. I dont mind to much, but I hope its not delayed in japan just so we can learn everything there is to learn about the game. I dont really care knowing all the secret characters before I get the game wont ruin it for me. Or for that matter any other modes this game has.

if Mr Myiamoto (hoever you spell it) says it needs to be delayed to make something better then it must be.. That man has not made a miss once in his life.. not once that i can recall... and i thought this game looked polished back in september when all those videos were going up.. now i'm worried my eyes will actually bleed. YES.. i think it will be THAT GOOD..

also the 10th is the perfect day to launch this for me.. its when i start my reading week.. so no worries all week :-) but march is getting near exam time so that bad..

also there are many titles to tide me over.. apart from my PC games. (which i haven't touched much of lately)..

I got SCARFACE to finish.. Strikers to play online (i have almost 200 matches online under my belt), Galaxy to perfect. i'm at almost 90 stars, MOH:Heros2 to finish and play online, i got 1 missions left and RE:UMBRELLA chronicles to finish.. (i rented it) and i still have 1 world to go in SUPER PAPER MARIO, then when i get bored of that i got GH3 to play and get better at and not to mention all my VC games as well as DS games i am playing, still need to grab phantom hourglass but i'm replaying ADVANCED WARS DUAL STRIKE and a lil bit of TETRIS and a lil bit of SIM CITY DS..

so yeah.. i can wait for the perfection.. i just hope it doesn't do what ENDLESS OCEAN apparently did and that is freeze when you found a specific fish.. lol.. that would suck SO BAD.. but i know it won't happen..

Hmmm, I don't know if this is bad or good. The delay may be so that the developers can add more characters, more moves, better wiimote controls, and better animations.

Anyways, I can't wait for this game to be released. Its whats going to finally get me to buy a wii and complete my console collection.

...is the online aspect. If this game is delayed again, I'd bet that that is why. I'm not yet convinced (Though I definitely like Nintendo and the Wii) that the system can handle fighting games online. Anyone who has tried to play DBZ Budokai Tenkaichi 3 online knows exactly what I'm talking about. The ability of the online system is going to determine whether this game is a true GOTY contender, or just "Melee plus". In any case, since the Japanes release is scheduled for only two weeks from now, I really don't see another delay being feasible without mass outcry and negative publicity for the company. Our worries and fears are likely unfounded. I sure hope so anyway.

I welcome this delay. The game will be here as soon as you know it so be patient. I would love to see a little bit more content in the game anyway. I mean come on. SSB has 12 characters. Melee had 25 characters. I seriously think that Brawl should have all of Melee's characters and an additional 15-25 characters added. That will truely make it the game of all games.

When it comes to delays of first party titles nobody is as guilty as Nintendo. But I have yet to say that Ninty didn't know what it was doing. For all the Mario, Zelda, Metroid games that get delayed, they have all come out being quality, fun games. If it gets delayed it gets delayed, at the end its gonna be one of the best games the Wii will see.
