I'm pretty sure I remember Miyamoto saying that this would have been out this year if it weren't for New Super Mario Bros. Wii.

I believe you're correct as well, because I thought it was coming out this year for the longest. But I guess not. Well it should be Early next year based off where they are in the development process, but I bet it doesn't come out until August or later.

That's what I'm hoping for. Hopefully this releases around March or so (when Brawl was released in '08). But the last Galaxy game was a holiday release.

...so if SMG2 comes out earlier in the year, what takes its place as Nintendo's core holiday title? Other M?

i heard theyre cutting out the story in a big way with this game wich is pretty bad seing as how SMG's story was simple but great. anyway realy hoping this will be more than a SMG 1.5 =)

5 - They should release this in April (my Bday month!!)
FFXIII and SMG2 would be too killer in one month.
March is too jam packed with games, so release it after wards big N.

7 - I want a sequel to mario64!
I think they should do a continuation to Mario64 and make it the same controls and everything. Maybe even do a remake of it. Mario Galaxy was alright, but i think New Mario bros will be better!

I'd like a continuation on the Horace goes skiing game, but it's not going to happen.

You and me both Jimmy, you and me both. Or even Aticatac? Or Super Jetpack? Or, dare I say it? A WORKING remake of Jet Set Willy in HD?

Gots to love some of that old stuff-makes me wanna dig out the speccy or the C64! Except then I remember how life was using cassettes to load games and I cry a little inside!

As for SMG2-while I'm glad it's on the way I'd MUCH rather Wii was getting it's own Zelda in the near future as we already had a frontline Mario Galaxy for Wii and TP is just a retooled GC title in every respect. Reggies refusal to commit to a Zelda next year anytime is really making me think that when Wii2 rolls round they just do it over again and release last gens Zelda as a launch title for their new console! ZELDA, ZELDA fekkin ZELDA Ninty! We see Mario ALL the time and even more of us care about Link's quests than the overused tubby Italian pipe mangler don't we? GET IT OUT SOON.

THat said , though I'm up for it myself as a MASSIVE Samus fanboy I really don't see Other M carrying them through a holiday season as the BIG game and wouldn't put it past them to delay SMG2 until then myself. Being really frank I find it astouding that we haven't had anything concrete on the new Zelda yet while we're getting, what, SMG, SSBB, SMBWii, MKWII and SMG2 between Zeldas! When they know they NEED top software tio entertain the new demographic and keep the older fans happy too? Madness, imo, and very slow and very slack. Crack the whip Miyamoto and do it now.

The other concern I have with SMG if it's already a wrap is just how much they adbanced from the first, great, game. Well, there's that AND the fact I'd love to see, even more than Metroid Dread or a new Starfox or Mario RPG-a new bloody IP Ninty. Remember them? I know it's a long way back but surely they must recall the excitement of seeing their new idea take shape and fly? No?

Oh well, SMG2 better be great as, to me, it looks like it's got some BIG holes in the coming roster for Ninty.

Jet Set Willy needs an update. That game was the bees knees when I was a wee lad.

They could put the same bug in as well, so no one would complete it. Then the fanboys could really complain.

Mastiff -- I'd love to see Zelda, too...but more and more, it seems like it'll be another dual release. And from a business perspective, it's hard to argue with it. LoZ is Nintendo's most loved core franchise, and launching it with a new console works well.

As a fan, I'd love to see it as a holiday release next year, but I'm honestly not too worried about it. I love eye candy, but Zelda is about adventure and gameplay, which don't rely on high def.

The wild card is whatever the hell Retro is working on. If SMG2 drops in March (like Brawl did), and Other M in the summer (like Prime 3), that leaves a big hole for the holidays.

...so what the heck are they doing down in Austin?
