The next step will be the resolution of its games. And this will help lead the direction of the console.
Who says a dud game can't have a video game comeback?
Cyberpunk and No Man's Sky have to be up there. We're lucky and cursed, equally, to have games that can be updated now. For folks old enough to remember the Sega/SNES into PS1 and even 2 eras, if a game came out that was half baked (*cough*Angel of Darkness*cough*) that was it, no redemption. At the same time, having the option for updates shouldn't be an excuse for half assing games.
Diablo III still works on modern PlayStation and Xbox consoles, and remains hugely playable a decade after initial release.
Are you comparing a continuously improved 10+ years old masterpiece with the... beta of an unreleased game?
Diablo III: Season 28 brings with it the Altar of Rites, an altar full of unlockable bonuses and potions that will require the gathering of tons of resources. One of things needed is the Staff of Herding, which also unlocks the famous Cow Level known as Whimsyshire. Here's how to craft that staff, for those that either have forgotten, or have never completed it.
Yea, I think it is nice that they pushed for 1080p and even offered dev resources to accomplish it. I personally don't really think it matters, but others do. I am really happy with MS' new focus and leadership.
Sadly this site only seems to focus on how to turn this into negativity.
Well truth be told, Xbox One was supposed to do 1080 out the gate. They're just fulfilling what was to be anyway. Am I wrong?
'This change shows that Microsoft is exercising its power as a platform holder to make changes for the people who play its games. It’s putting its consumer’s wants first over the ultimate quality of the game. Like it or not, it’s Microsoft taking a stance. And that’s what it’s needed to do for a while.'
And what if MS is exercising its power to force developers to ensure that the competitor's version of the game doesn't look better than their own?
Well when you force them to do 1080p at the cost of FPS i guess u can call it even?
1080p and Unlocked 60fps, which dips to 50 something frames (which you wouldn't notice without a frame counter). That's a fair trade.
This is impressive considering the hardware specs. Correct me if I'm wrong, but, a lot of PC gamers don't run their games at a locked frame-rate.
