So What Was the Best of E3 2015?

"A personal favorite of our Antwand “BLACKBIBLE” Pearman, this game wowed the crowd when it was shown off at Microsoft’s press conference. E3 2015 viewers witnessed a vivid title with graphics resembling those used in the Silly Symphonies cartoons put out by Disney in the 30s." GamerFitnation

I vote Cuphead, FF7, and Shemue

freshslicepizza3216d ago

forza 6, rainbow six, horizon and fallout 4 are the top of my list. i wish we saw some new zelda stuff. i thought the demonstration of minecraft on hololens was really cool but that could be quite a long ways off and expensive. plus after the smoke and mirrors of project milo i would have to try it myself to get an honest opinion.

I gotta go with:

1) Horizon…New IP always breathe a fresh air into E3 & we saw incredible gameplay at the reveal (how often does that happen with a New IP?)

2) Fallout 4…The wait alone for such a really well crafted franchise pushes it up to number 2. Plus Bethesda Game Studios (not to be confused with Bethesda Publishing) has always made some of the best western RPG's

3) Uncharted 4…Since seeing the 15minute gameplay I'm just in awe of Naughty Dog's ability to make games (IMO, Naughty Dog is the best Action/Adventure developer in the game today)

Best actual completed game Fallout 4.

2016 most anticipated Horizon.

Cool art design, potentially great pending more info. ReCore.

Bound to be awesome Uncharted 4.

Total war Warhammer cant wait for it.

From all the content I have seen so far, my vote would go for:

Uncharted 4 - Best game of the show
Horizon - Best new IP
The Last Guardian - A mixture of Ico and Shadow of the Colossus. Yes please.
Halo 5 - A return to form for this juggernaut franchise.
Mario Maker - The title says it all
Cuphead - The best 2D art-style at the expo.
Unravel - Move over Yoshie, a new yarn is in town :p

HORIZON as well.

It's been ages since a developer with a known style had come out to E3 dropping such a massive game that was not expected or at all like their expected work. This looks amazing. I was very impressed with its creativity and what they are bringing to the WRPG. This is going to be big, very big!

Plus the break down of how enemies have so many styles of combat and that there are many ways for them to be defeated. Many role playing games gives players some story arc and choice in those areas, however this looks to be the first action RPG that will truly allow for the "gameplay" aspect to be truly unique and different between each player. The scene at E3 could of been tackled so many more ways that it already had. I think GG is nailing something.

You can also see the flavor from KZ in this. I expect this to become an instant GOTY contender when it releases.

DialgaMarine3216d ago

You do have to wonder, though, if there's somehow a connection between the machines in Horizon, and the Helgahst. They look related in a really eery way, especially those eyes on the machine..

rainslacker3216d ago

Way too many good games to make a definitive call for me.

Horizon, FO4, UC4, FF7, and Cuphead were definitely up there for me though. Shenmue and TLG made me happy though.:)

medman3215d ago

@rainslacker
Best E3 I've ever witnessed. The quality of titles and presentations across the board was spectacular. 2016 is looking incredible at the moment. Maybe even too many great looking games for 2016, much like how fall 2015 is looking very crowded.

HentaiMasterRace3216d ago

For me it's Shenmue III and FFVII Remake.......wow, never thought that I'd be able to say that.

iamtehpwn3216d ago

And who would've ever thought you'd be able say them in the same sentence as something that got announced on the same day? Unbelievably exciting

RPGrinder3216d ago

Mario Maker, Horizon, Fire Emblem, Star Ocean

Original Final Fantasy 7 - Is it Worth Playing in 2024?

Final Fantasy 7 has come back under the spotlight thanks to the release of Final Fantasy VII Rebirth, but is it worth replaying the original?

ravens5214d ago

Got to Zacks part in 7 Rebirth. Said f it. Finishing my game in 7 og. Just got to part 2 yesterday. I also got Crisis Core... So it'll be a while before I'm back to Rebirth. I just keep thinking about it too smh, want to get back to playing it. Not till I know Zacks story though. I beat 7 og sooooooo long ago, it's crazy going through it again and remembering things.

MrNinosan14d ago (Edited 14d ago )

Got to Zacks part in Rebirth?
You mean you started the game and turned it off?
The game starts with Zack...

ravens5213d ago

... Really 🤓 lol. His second part, I've played for 80hrs lmao. <---- PS5 Run time, probably not all game time. You guys know how it goes.

VIK212113d ago (Edited 13d ago )

Did you not ever play the OG FF7? After you recruit Vincent, later in the game, disc 3, return to that basement and look at the pod, there's a whole Zack story that'll trigger as a memory.... it's well hidden in the game and a lot of things regarding Zack are cleared up. FF7 Crisis Core is basically an extend feature of that hidden flashback... It took me years to discover it back then lol

MrNinosan13d ago

@ravens52
80 hours in Rebirth by doing everything, and you should've reached Zacks story about 5 times 🤣

ravens5213d ago

Ye I kno that's y I said not all gameplay time. But also I am very anal when it comes to exploring.

ravens5213d ago

Not to mention fighting Titan at his full strength. Hours spent trying still haven't succeeded. Found all 3 ruins but I'ma masochist when it comes to games.

Barlos14d ago

Very much so. Graphically it's dated but the story and the gameplay haven't aged a day. It's still one of my all time favourite RPGs and for me is better than Remake in some ways.

Barlos14d ago (Edited 14d ago )

It always takes me back to Christmas 1997, I got it as a gift and I was blown away when I played it. I couldn't believe games could look that good. The combination of pre rendered backgrounds and FMV really made it stand out. It definitely still has a certain charm that modern games can't replicate.

I can't imagine people will still be talking about Remake and Rebirth in 27 years.

Tapani13d ago

Fully agreed. To me the atmosphere, pacing, gameplay and music are all better than in the remake.

Rebel_Scum14d ago

Yes, play this, skip remake, start rebirth for new players.

I_am_Batman14d ago

Skip Remake? That's terrible advice.

leahcim13d ago

Remake is so amazing, pure FFVII Love, play it on PS5 please! aww the graphics the battles, the music... a dream come true.

Rebel_Scum13d ago (Edited 13d ago )

I disagree Batman

Rise of the ronin sold twice as much as Dragons Dogma 2 this week...but no articles about that. It's only news if a PS exclusive is being outsold.
