This reminds me of the Star Wars Trilogy Arcade Game and that was a blast

I really can't wait to try this one. The Gundam game this is derived from is great.

I went to Japan and played the Gundam pod game in one of the arcades in Akihabara and I was blown away. I always thought that more games should be done in this manner, especially mech or dog fight types of games.

It's really sad that the arcade scene in the states is dead, because i would love to get into one of these and play against others.

Yea,

When i was younger 15 i used to work at an arcade and it was a blast. Arcades are awesome unfortunate at least in my area it attracted a lot of bad people after 5pm and we had fights and drugs that we had to deal with and it really ran the place down after a while. Was one of my favorite places to be though so all that drama included i miss it a lot.

If i find a SF4 machine in my area i play that until i'm out of money.

Yea, the last known areas that are true arcade places at least in the bay area re in the South bay Golfland. Other than that, places like Davs and Busters usually cater to the family or date scene and have nothing but driving sims or gun games.

Dude I'm from the 925 now was the 510. Do you remember Gamestation in San ramon? That's where i worked.

I go to golfland when i can make it out there but Dave and Busters is just like you said kinda family all racing or gun games and those get old real quick.

gangsta_red3373d ago

Ha! San Ramon was just a little bit out my way. I lived in SF and worked in San Jose. So on my way back to SF I would stop in Sunnyvale for some Golfland action.

I never heard of Gamesstation, I'm sad I missed out on that one.

I used to hangout at the arcade on Broadway in SF...a LONG time ago. I also remember the arcade on Market street...and that's really calling out my age if you remember that.

Just a suggestion, the word before the Roman numeral for seven is spelled "episode". Otherwise it's exciting to know Dave & Buster's will have something to brag about other than their food.

Hands On with the Star Wars Battle Pod at NYCC - Worth $35K?

BNR: During the 2015 New York Comic Con, one of the coolest things that I got to experience was the Star Wars Battle Pod- specifically, the brand new flat screen edition of the arcade machine- it was generally a cool experience that put me in the cockpit of an X-Wing, on my way to blow up the Death Star. The game's an on-rails shooter, so I didn't have to steer- just throttle up and down and aim at the TIE fighters coming at me. The game's graphics are decent, but nothing worth calling home over- the Battle Pod is really about the experience of being in a starfighter.
