These are all really cool! It's fun that there is so much hidden stuff in the beta.

Regis3557d ago

Like the fan in the tower, the beach ball and the soccer ball too.

CyrusLemont3557d ago

How do these guys find all that stuff?! I've played 25 hours of the beta and I haven't found anything cool like that. Makes me feel so behind and unaware. Game is rad though, almost got 175 crucible marks for that Crucible speeder. I hope bungie lets us keep some of that special gear.

A Star Wars fps like Destiny would be the sh*t. Makes me think about Battlefront.

Alexander1Nevermind3557d ago

Just have to go do the level 4 mission and explore. A lot of areas do a countdown if you try and go off map but I found my way to quite a few level ?? just from exploration. Most you can get by if your able to summon your hoverbike. But they can 1/2 shot you easy.

Mega243557d ago (Edited 3557d ago )

As any other game that has had beta, progression in it wont carry through the full release, still you get them emblems and other stuff for participating.

I've spent about 70 hour just searching and playing pvp at the same time, can't wait for September man.

dumahim3557d ago

If you go collect the 5 golden chests you also get an upgraded speeder.

As to finding stuff, it isn't hard. There's caves all over the place where some keep going. Walk down far enough and the ?? level dudes show up. I never pushed my luck with them though.

The world of Destiny is huge! I can't wait to explore the full game. There's so hidden stuff in the beta and Alpha that I came across, I can't wait for the leashes to be taken off so we can go nuts grinding searching. This game has sold me since the Alpha, the beta is just an even bigger tease. Had to say I was skeptical of Destiny because of how poorly they brought the message across. The Alpha was awesome and the Beta so far is just fantastic

illminded323557d ago

Wonder what else is hidden in the beta :D,I found a few things but can't get past a few areas with ???? Enemies.

I will search during these last few days of the beta and record my findings.

Regis3557d ago (Edited 3557d ago )

Well one of the areas with ??? are high level enemies however one of the areas is a shortcut to the devils lair we died quite a bit, however we were able to get past them.

illminded323556d ago

I seen that area today, love exploring in games.
When this game release I'm gonna explore every nook and cranny, can't f wait :D.

Destiny Made Over $160 Million In Microtransaction Revenue In Less Than 2 Years

Destiny has made over $160 million in MTX revenue, and these numbers only account the data from late 2017 to early 2019.

Sgt_Slaughter326d ago

That's extremely low for microtransactions, especially for a game that's essentially designed around it

LucasRuinedChildhood326d ago (Edited 326d ago )

This was back when the game wasn't free to play.

The figures are from November 2017 to February 2019 (1 year and 4 months).

Based on that projection, the MTX revenue for Destiny 2 likely would have been closer to ~$240m for 2 years.

Not sure if premium expansions are included in that figure either although ... I'd hope that they are though and that most of the revenue was for actual content like Forsaken.

People spend way too much money on cosmetics.

Rude-ro326d ago (Edited 326d ago )

Seasons($10 and just got bumped to $12) and dungeon keys($10 each, two a year) are through the eververse(micro transaction) store.
So for those two years, in order to play a season, you would pay through micro transactions.

Sonic1881326d ago (Edited 326d ago )

Bungie Marathon will be worse since it's designed around it as well

Kurt Russell325d ago

It makes me sad to agree... but at the same time I am looking forward to giving it a go. Destiny 2 is so far in, I find it difficult to figure out what I am meant to do first.

buffig326d ago

I think FIFA alone makes over $1bn a year from mtx

anast326d ago

FIFA promotes a worldwide sport. It should make more money than destiny.

CantThinkOfAUsername326d ago (Edited 326d ago )

Let's compare something similar. Apex Legends and its ridiculous $18/$40 skins make EA a billion each year.

z2g326d ago

For as much as ppl complain how much they hate microtransactions, they sure don’t act like it. No wonder they aren’t going anywhere.

spicelicka326d ago

By "people" you're referring to millions and millions of people. Obviously the ones complaining aren't necessarily the same as the ones spending all that money.

There's millions that purchase MTX and there's nothing we can do about it

I've been thinking about playing through D1 again before it goes away...

CobraKai477d ago

That’s the sad reality of a game like this. I bought it, invested lots of money, and it can go away at anytime. I still think this was more fun than 2.

jeromeface476d ago

prob because 2 is a grindfest slog

spoonard473d ago

That's the bummer of 'games as a service'.
