PlayStation 4 Pro made its big debut yesterday, and Sony is selling it as a 4K gaming box. But most of the games the company showed were not rendering a native 4K image. Instead, you were probably seeing something closer to 1440p or 1800p. That's quite a lot less detail than 2160p -- although, for the Sony's new supersystem, it doesn't matter.
In a recent interview with GamesIndustry.biz , Sony's Jim Ryan talked a bit about the PS4 Pro and how they had underestimated its demand.
According to Pachter, the PS4 Pro sales aren't doing very good. Maybe drop the price $50 and bundle in a game since Xbox One X is coming?
I love ps4 but if the x gives all the multiplat games at least 1080/60 and update past multiplat games then id go for the x.but id get a switch before ither😂
Spider-man’s show-stopping gameplay reveal stood out like a New York City skyscraper on the skyline of Sony’s unusually flat E3 press conference.
Pixel Related writes: "The majority of the excitement of E3 has passed already for this year and together we take a look at the big announcements and moments from all of the big press conferences. We’re talking Microsoft, Sony and Nintendo, as well as the developer conferences of EA, Ubisoft and Bethesda. Tons of games, a handful of surprises and some serious questions about what kinds of drugs people are taking these days."
It is not native 4k but the techniques used in the Pro make it look like 4K or upscale res.. It Sounds alright. As long as the image is not stretched or blurry, It'll be fine
We know.
Did anyone expect it to be at that price?
Nor is the XB1 S, and that's fine as long as both systems look a lot better than the PS4 and XB1 do on a 4k HDR TV.
Cuz right now they look kinda crappy compared to my Plasma R.I.P. Looking at the PS conference in 4k HDR (youtube PS4 player) on my 4k HDR TV looked pretty awesome and was showing the punch I feel my TV has been missing over my Plasma. I'm sure there was compression on the Youtube 4K video I watched. But it did look much better than on my graphic work station at work, so perhaps that's a good sign. I'll just have to get into Best Buy and have them setup PS4 Pro on the same TV I purchased. I would not care at all about the PS4 Pro if I still had my Plasma, that looked so sweet.
