Ben Salter of MMGN: Episode 4 of Life is Strange begins and ends with a heavy dose of emotion, reminding me why protagonist Max Caulfield is one of my favourite game characters in a long time. But it succumbs to retreading old ground, as the penultimate episode is trapped between progressing the story and setting it up for a thrilling finale.
The final 3 episodes of this unique adventure get reviewed at Player 2
Kyle, of Games With Friends, had the opportunity to talk at length with the producer of Life is Strange, Luc Baghadoust, and the co-game director, Raoul Barbet, while at New York Comic Con. They discussed the creative process behind Episodes 1-4, how they approached some of the weighty topics like suicide and euthanasia, Chloe and Max's dynamic, and more.
RPS:
"The Life Is Strange Episode 4 thoughts have been a long time coming for one reason and another, but I wanted to get something down on digital paper about it before episode 5 turns up and [presumably] ties some kind of a bow on proceedings. There will be spoilers, pretty much as soon as you click through and then constantly until the end of the article so, y’know, bear that in mind."
Review seemed to be on point and now I do want to check this game out. Looks interesting.
This episode was crazy. It was really long too, especially coming off of Ep. 3 which was incrediby short. I'm really anxious for the final episode now to see the conclusion.
