This is the official Falling Skies videogame, based around a very solid gameplay model, mainly paying homage to turn-based strategy game series XCOM. This might sound like a perfect fit at first, and maybe in an alternative reality in which licensed games were given more attention it would have been, but this ends up being a disappointment.
