sounds good, count me in for a sale

N4g_null3557d ago

I'm all in too unless the gameplay sucks lol.

Geekman3557d ago (Edited 3557d ago )

Wii U online multiplayer is free, so I'm in. Odd how a struggling console can provide free online Multiplayer. *Glares at Sony and Microsoft. Especially Microsoft.*

Chrono3557d ago

Nobody will pay for online for WiiU for obvious reasons. People don't mind paying for quality services.

3-4-53557d ago

MK8 is PERFECT online, so Nintendo seem to have gotten better at the whole online gaming thing.

Gemmol3557d ago

Nintendo online is much better than people think, buy two same games or borrow two same games, one for wii u and one for another system and you will see the wii u online is much smoother and faster, and dont give no excuse saying its cause no one on there

fatneal3557d ago

people act as if sony and microsoft have this special access to tools nintendo doesnt lol...nintendo just goes about things a different way. they are the disney of the gaming industry meaning all-inclusive. they want people to have a more intimate experience in person with family/friends instead of allowing the yelling of racial slurs and profanities online to children or strangers in general.

i personally think nintendo can better their internet service but im also glad they have it the way they do because i have 2 children that love video games and im glad thats something i dont have to worry about

Alinea3557d ago (Edited 3557d ago )

I didnt pay for online on wii or ps3 nor never I did for PC/steam why is it ok all of sudden for you people to pay for it? not to mention the fact that a lot of these games dont even have dedicated servers and just do peer to peer instead, which its not worth paying for, I wouldn't call that quality service at all. Not to mention that it cant be any better than PC which always been free.

Chrischi19883557d ago

Yes they mind, you mean they have no choice with the wrong plattform. With steam on PC you get the best online experience of them all and guess what, they dont want a monthly fee. So much to that nonsense^^ It is not as expensive, as they try to make you think. Paying for online multiplayer is nothing else than greedy.

wasn't this game coming to ps3? what happen? did it get cancel?

wonderfulmonkeyman3557d ago (Edited 3557d ago )

The studio that was doing it before got shut down, iirc.
Nintendo swooped in and saved it when it looked like it was gonna become vaporware, so now it's an exclusive.

Kevlar0093557d ago

THQ was the publisher, but when they went down Valhalla was left with the IP but no funding. It was originally for 360 and PS3 back in the day, now just WiiU.

truefan13557d ago

I'm hyped about this game!!!!

darkstar183557d ago

gameplay > graphics they know thats what will sell this game.

Talk about a kick in the nutter butters

naruga2662d ago (Edited 2662d ago )

this game creator payed his idiocy to change the development for exclusive release on a dying hopeless console with the best way ....the game was generally good i liked it and was the closest thing to a hardcore Ninja Gaiden we could get on new consoles ....but literaly its creator was idiot as f..k to undermine his game (it was obviously downgraded for Wii u) and release it exclusively on a underpowered system for some cash, destroyed his name in a moment

rjason122661d ago (Edited 2661d ago )

Oh boo hoo. Someone didn't get a game to come to their system.

@Edmix
Believe me I know the feeling haha, just pushing out a similar statement many others make, just cause.

ShaunCameron2661d ago (Edited 2660d ago )

@ rjason

Apparently.

@ XisThatKid

How did they ask for it? You know the company responsible for the engine used to make the OG game went under forcing Itagaki to scrap it and start over, right? Not to mention THQ, its original publisher, eventually withdrawing support before going under. As for it becoming a Wii U exclusive, Nintendo was the one willing to help Itagaki with the funding to finish making the game.

_-EDMIX-_2661d ago

This is easily one of the stupidest investments I've ever seen any company ever make for an exclusive by a third party. I'm surprised you think the game is any good at all because I don't really believe the Wii U made this game bad, believe it was going to be bad regardless of where it was. The Wii U has a handful of really great games please do not blame the hardware for how crappy this game actually is. To my understanding when you create a game for a specific piece of Hardware your job is to adapt. So do not blame the hardware for why this game was horrible blame the developer for even downgrading the game in the first place as opposed to adapting to their situation. If you have to downgrade a game so significantly that it begins to affect the design and quality you're probably not supposed to be downgrading it in the first place to such a platform. I don't blame the platform in this respect I blame the developer because they chose to continue despite knowing the hardware differences. The regular Wii U exclusives don't have that problem because they were made to actually work on that platform...

@rjason- could be because it sounds to me like he basically likes the game but he's angry at the decision of it being exclusive somewhere else

XisThatKid2661d ago (Edited 2661d ago )

I have not felt so selfish about a game before. I like many waited and waited patiently since this games release and out of no where Wii U exclusive. At the time i didn't have a Wii u and honestly i wanted it for ps3 but that never happened nor for 4. Anyway i honestly am glad this happened. Save for the innocent dev and people involved But i never wanted a game to fail so badly. Not to mention when i finally played it i think it sucks imho. I'm fine with exclusives but when a game's announced for your console or platform of choice then retracted they're asking for it.

bouzebbal2660d ago

he had no big name to start with.. this same guy did the same to DOA4 and Ninja Gaiden for 360 and in the end he talks s### about Team Ninja about NG3 and DOA5. He's a loser !

blackblades2662d ago

Ikr it looked interesting in the beginning before it became an nintendo exclusive. Don't know what happened when it became an exclusive.

_-EDMIX-_2661d ago

Who knows , it was probably always going to be bad.

Ravenor2661d ago

A lot happens when a game gets developed. A proof of concept demo or pre rendered video being received well doesn't necessarily equate to a game game being good.

BLKxSEPTEMBER2661d ago

I'm still looking to buy a copy at a reasonable price.

ocelot072661d ago

Depends on where you are located. Here in the UK you can pick this up for around £12.

BLKxSEPTEMBER2661d ago

I'm in California. I haven't seen a hard copy yet.

xMANB3ARP1G2660d ago

bro you wont they made so few copies they are mostly locked in cages atm in ppls collections waiting for the value to skyrocket.

BLKxSEPTEMBER2660d ago

Yeah that's what I figured.

xMANB3ARP1G2660d ago

i only say that because im in the same boat all physical copies near me were scooped up day one and ebay had a field day

alfcrippinjr2661d ago

and this is why we should not support nintendo any more
they done it with the wii and they killed the ds off for no reason.

total bad for business

ShaunCameron2661d ago

Um. You can still get the main D3rd game, albeit digitally. The only thing they killed here was the online multiplayer.

OtakuDJK1NG-Rory2661d ago

Wait why are peopole acting like they care now? You didn't when it was released.

gangsta_red2661d ago

Yea, I haven't heard a peep or a whisper of this game since its debut.

gamer78042660d ago

its the principle of it, i don't like seeing any games shut down so quickly

Chaos_Order2661d ago

I don't think Itagaki is crazy for making a Wii U exclusive.

I think he's crazy for pushing out a half baked, flawed as all hell, generic gore fest on the Wii U without making use of any of the console's specific features, and throwing his toys out of the pram when people criticise it.

The ups, downs and future of Tomonobu Itagaki's Devil's Third

Tomonobu Itagaki, outspoken former leader of Tecmo's Team Ninja and current leader of Valhalla Game Studios, has spent the last eight years of his life working on the action game Devil's Third.

PhoenixUp2709d ago

Sucks to spend eight years on a project only to have it flop

MilkMan2709d ago

Love the interview. He's a great developer and I liked Devils Third.
