Looking up at the crisp blue skies of Hoth, another X-Wing pilot inexplicably ****s it straight into a cliff. Four rebels sprint down a corridor, but sort of can't get past each other, and get a bit stuck. Luke Skywalker appears, everyone throws a grenade at him, and then Luke Skywalker decides to go home. It's like you're in the films!
Star Wars: Battlefront puts you in the shoes of either the Good Star Wars Men or the Bad Star Wars Men and allows you to fight large numbers of other human players online with spaceships, lasers, and cool space-grenades. It is either perfectly acceptable or a little bit ****, depending on how many panes of rose-tinted glass you've willingly smashed straight into your face. I'll get to the frankly terrifying cultural side of things shortly, but let's just get something simple straight early: Star Wars: Battlefront is not a very good game.
There's been clear marketing messaging from publishers EA that the game is aimed at Star Wars fans rather than gamers, drawing parallels to the classic cry of "it's for kids" with an extra dollop of condescension. This mentality feels crass—a shrugging implication that the game is little more than aesthetic content to be passively consumed, the chosen medium of a video game seen as something of only minor relevance.
Aspyr Media Inc allegedly used a fan-made PC mod to add previously Xbox exclusive content to Star Wars Battlefront Classic Collection.
Aspyr if we sell hotcakes get that code from radical or something and create battlefield 3 please
I thought that was kind of obvious they were incorporating mods to piece this game together. Maybe not, but that's made me worried about one thing:
They also planned on adding the modded ending to KOTOR 2 but were legally blocked from doing so, even after they advertised that to help sell preorders for the game on Switch. Could the same happen with this? Any opponents have 3 weeks to bring down the hammer.
Revisit 'Star Wars: Imperial Ace,' the 2006 mobile game that brought immersive Star Wars space battles to the palm of your hand.
Dive into 'Star Wars: Death Troopers' game demo, a blend of sci-fi and horror, promising a unique, thrilling experience in a familiar galaxy.
Yes it is.
We must be playing a different game entirely.
This BattleFront hate is unreal, the game is dope as hell. Doubt anyone of these clowns have even played the damned game.
Its certainly not goty material, but to say its not a very good game is way off, I'm having lots of fun with it and actually thinking about investing in the DLC. There are a lot of legitimate complaints from the community but nothing major, nothing that spoils the overall fun factor.
Quick pitchforks everyone, they insult our one and only. Our holy deity, EA.
